Re: 2017/1/22: Wii U: Shantae: Half-Genie Hero

If you like this game, I think you really also should give a try to Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (available as download for the Wii U or as download and retail for the 3DS). That game also offers classic platformer, nice retro graphics and fantastisc music.

Re: Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero (Wii U)

I played the prequel Shantae and the Pirates Curse on Nintendo 3DS (also available as retail!) and I thought that was a pretty good platformer too! (Not 'the best 2D platormer since Sonic the Hedgehog', because that is of course Shovel Knight :), but pretty good nonetheless). http://www.risingstarga...

Re: Christmas Loot

I got some points for the Nintendo 3DS eShop. I bought Steel Empire, a remake of the Sega Genesis shmup. I enjoyed it and it looks great, but it is also very short (like half an hour short).

Re: 7/3/2007: Wii: Sonic and the Secret Rings

I finally got to play this game.... and I think I hate it. I don't like the way the missions are structured, but mostly I hate the Wii-motion controls in this game. I even had a hard time to complete the tutorial! Also, the music is pretty horrible. But the graphics are nice. That's it.

Re: 2016 in Video Gaming

I don't own a Xbox One, PS4 or Wii U and I only played three games that were released this year: Zero Escape: Time Dilemma (3DS), Kirby: Planet Robobot (3DS) and Chase: Cold Case Investigations (3DS eShop). All those games were good, but not groundbreaking. For the most, I bought a Wii mini and play...

Re: Favorite Things about Video Games

Most favorite: - Adrenaline pumping music when something is about too happen - Boss fights (as scotland said, unless those fights are impossible...) - Sonic the Hedgehog running... Least favorite: - long loading times! - text that is too tiny too read - crappy map system/getting lost/(as voor said:...

In the review of '007: The World Is Not Enough' you made a typo: "when you should [shoot] a picture on the wall"

Re: Favorite "Guilty Pleasure" Video Game

Putty Squad (PS4) - Yes, I know, the SNES game released in Europe a long time ago, but I almost never played my imported copy. Putty Squad is a good game IMO. It's an exploration based 2D platformer, and some of your abilities are REALLY cool. I get that it has some of that "euro" cluster...

Re: Favorite "Guilty Pleasure" Video Game

I enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever, despite the ugly graphics and the horrible loading times. I also enjoyed Pit-Fighter (Sega Genesis version) a lot. I know a lot of people would put those two games in a 'worst games of all time' list, but I had quite some fun with them.
