Re: Resident Evil Complete Collection Review

Nice article. I’ve never had any interest in the sequels but as a die hard RE fan I feel I should watch all these one of these days. I will say for all it’s faults the first movie was not terrible. And back in ‘02 watchable was about all you could ask for in a zombie movie. Options have of course va...

Re: PolyMega Retro System

Too clarify I am uncertain if any DVD drive made today can read a GD rom or a GCN disc. That may, or may not be possible with software updates. Presumably a module could be made to read those discs but it may not be economically worth it. I do not see any issues running these games on a coffee lake ...

Re: Sonic X-Treme

If I remember correctly this game was pretty far along, just several different times because they kept scrapping it and starting over. It started as Sonic Mars for the 32X and is allegedly even an outgrowth of the cancelled Sonic16 for the Genesis. I believe it was moving along finally on the Saturn...

Re: PolyMega Retro System

This looks prettysweet tbh. The price is not over the top for the kind of hardware they’ve included. This isn’t a Raspberry Pi but a modern x86-64. And it plays Saturn games. Right out of the box. That’s pretty darn impressive. I had enough trouble just getting those emulators configured, let alone ...

Re: Best Console Design Decisions

Did Xbox 360 controllers ever come with built in batteries? My Xbox One still uses AAs. Which to be honest is the better solution as all cell phone users know these batteries have finite charge/discharge cycles. NES D-Pad N64: 4 controllers, analog stick for 3D Xbox: Built in broadband modem Saturn:...

Re: You Have to Go Online

“They” want you online for everything. Games are just a small fraction of it. It’s every aspect of your life at this point. Why’s your refrigerator need to connect to the internet? Riddle me that Batman People who have power want to be able to know everything you do, say, think. Even what you eat. T...

Re: What are you playing while stuck at home?

Just played through Panzer Dragoon Orta but this time on my One S. Really great game. Now playing a bit of the original, and that orchestral music of the first stage really takes me back. Up next? Either Red Dead 2 or Captain America(360) I’m thinking Cap will be the shorter experience so maybe I’ll...

So what actually killed it?

I’ve resuscitated mine once and am about to do it again.

Re: What's your favorite game in your least favorite genre?

For normal genres(I don’t think I’ve ever completed a rhythm game) it’s JRPGs. I don’t like them. Or ROGs in general. However, I love Panzer Dragoon Saga. It was an amazing experience in 1998. Free of pointless grinding, an actually interesting story and an elegant, fun combat system. I’ll give Phan...

Re: Favorite Resident Evil Games?

Most fun? Resident Evil 3(original). It struck just the right balance of difficulty and scope.

Of course I have love for the good ol’ original most of all. Perfect settings, I like the “horrible” controls. Most of all hilarious, and memorable dialogue.
