Re: Nintendo Playstation Dissected

Very interesting. One would assume the SNES CD would be much better than the Sega CD for FMV with its wider color palette but without the extra CPU I wonder how good its playback would actually have been.

Re: New Idea for Site?

I like it. I really don't check out other sites for video game news because so little of it applies to me. The only thing I'd prefer is if on the desktop site the news was to the side(where News is currently), and the reviews stay where they are.

Re: Why hating on PS1 games?

I agree it is the controls more than the graphics. It was an experimental time, and nobody knew what worked and what didn't in 3D. Many games have no analog control, and even those that do often have no camera control. Many younger gamers won't have the patience to really learn how to play them, and...

Re: VGA to HDMI for Dreamcast

I would say it HAS to introduce some lag. It is converting an analog signal to a digital one, that takes at least some time. I have a similar device in the Wii2HDMI that not only converts the Wii signal it upconverts it before sending it to the TV, and I honestly haven't yet noticed anymore lag than...

Re: What systems do you have hooked up and ready to go?

I've only got the Wii hooked up to the big TV, and the Dreamcast hooked up to the CRT. The PS3 isn't actually hooked up, but it is right next to the Wii. I ran out of HDMI ports but it is ready to go in about 6 seconds.

Resident Evil 3

I LOVED this one. Large environments, but not too large that it felt daunting to explore everything. Just the right amount of ammo so I could kill what I had to and avoid what I didn't. The puzzles were nice and logical. Nemesis was a great addition. He isn't too hard to avoid but he is tough enough...

I'm not sure why you always say PC/PS4/Xbox One/Wii U. The Wii U is in a whole 'nother category. If you've pared down the assets enough to run on the Wii U, you can basically run them on the Xbox 360/PS3, Both of those systems have like 7 times the install base.

Re: Dreamcast MP3 player

MP3 - Meh. Given the cost of flash, it probably would have been like 32 megabytes. Too small to really hold a lot of songs. The IPod was great when it came out becasue it had a hard drive and could really store a whole music collection. Zip Dive - Sweet. I wish I had this. If nothing else I wouldn't...
