Re: Console Holiday 2017 Shopping Guide

Does anyone have any advice on whether to get a Switch or a New 3DS? For the Switch there's Mario. For the New 3DS there's Zelda A Link Between Worlds and Sega's 3D Classics Collection. I've already played Zelda on the Wii U so that's not a major reason for me to pick up a Switch for Christmas. I h...

Re: Console Holiday 2017 Shopping Guide

Good stuff; always good to hear your thoughts on the consoles. I only have the PS4 now, but I could see myself getting a Switch within the next year. While the 360 was a great console, I have no interest in the Xbox One at the moment. While on the topic of Christmas... Tonight I just read a review o...

Re: 2017/11/12: Playstation 4: Undertale

Woah woah woah. Big thanks to eneuman96! Certainly for the review itself, but equally so for pointing out that this game is on the PS4. I did not know. I'm going to take this life-altering information and go download the game ASAP. Undertale has been on my radar since it came out for PC in 2015. I d...

Re: Got me a SWITCH!

Where did you find one? I think they've been popping up pretty consistently now, especially in the past couple months. Lately you can even find them on Amazon, direct from Amazon for the usual $300 price. Seems like they've finally got enough stock, though we'll see if that holds up through the hol...

Re: Changing too much or too little?

This topic could spur me into one of my anti-Zelda rants, but I'll spare you all! I think you always hope a sequel strikes a balance between keeping what made you like the original, and adding enough new to keep you coming back. These days, my gaming time is very limited, and once I start a game I l...

Re: Bad news for Switch players.

I LOVED Cybermorph.   One of the most dreadful looking and pointless 3D games I can think of! I vaguely remember it -- aimlessly flying around, collecting orbs, seeing only 5 feet in front of my ship, and running into mountains over and over. Like pacman000, I'd be pretty inte...

Re: Tony Hawk series

Update: I'm an idiot and already own Tony Hawk Underground for PS2... Just found it in my stack of disc only PS2 games. Based on the $1 sticker on it, looks like I probably snagged it from a flea market or convention within the last few years. Have too much junk and didn't even realize I already had...

Re: What is your Holy Grail?

I'm seeing tons of love here for Panzer Dragoon Saga and I'm liking it. It's in my top 3 all-time, so I definitely agree that it's a game worth playing. I haven't played the game in like 15 years though, so I really need to pull my copy out someday and see how it holds up. I would love to play Panze...

Re: Tony Hawk series

I know it's unlikely, but I'd be interested to see if there's someone here who has never played these games before and gives one of the old ones a shot for the first time, just to see what they think. My guess is they'd still be fun to a newcomer. You don't need to care about skateboarding or sports...

Re: Tony Hawk series

Well, I ended up buying the 360 version of American Wasteland on ebay. Cost $20, but being able to play it in my living room made it worth it to me. I could have bought the Xbox version (it's backwards compatible), but I saw some reports about glitches with playing it on 360. The Playstation control...
