Re: 2019/1/13: Playstation: Burning Road, Steel Harbinger

I went on YouTube and watched the opening FMV cutscene of Steel Harbinger and it was hilarious. Like it was acted out by people they pulled off the street at best. I also agree that Miranda became significantly hotter after her transformation, but I was disappointed that they skipped over the obviou...

Re: 2019/1/3: Nintendo Switch: Slain: Back From Hell

Can anybody give me a good answer as to why a game like this would FORCE you to use the analog stick? Even with the pro-controller? What is that all about? And for that matter, can anybody give me a good reason why EVERY GAME EVER MADE doesn't have an option to completely customize your controls, es...

Re: Game of the Year 2018?

Axiom Verge is the easy choice for me if it counts for this year. I raved about it on this message board (and I believe that coaxed the Critic to review it since it had just landed on physical media on the Switch :)) Second place is Celeste.

Re: "Celeste" is the current game that is filling the void that Axiom Verge left with me...

Awesome. It has a "Super Meat Boy" flavor, but MUCH more sophisticated controls and game play, and very interesting storylines that my wife would sit down and watch. Super Meat Boy interested me at first but the well ran dry pretty quick for me. Celest really caught me off guard because I ...

"Celeste" is the current game that is filling the void that Axiom Verge left with me...

Without getting into too much detail (because I want to get back to playing), after having Axiom Verge take over my life for a good month or so, I hit a rut where no game was giving me the rush that Axiom Verge gave me. Not in game play, story, or especially music. I was obsessed with AV for a good ...

If I'm not mistaken he has already reviewed and loved Protector on the Jaguar.

Re: New thumbs up/down feature?

Unfortunately that still comes across as vague to me the same way it does on Facebook. Does a frown mean you didn't like the game, the review, or something else? Maybe a thumbs up/down for the game, and a thumbs up/down for the review?

Re: Xbox HL2

I still haven't forgiven Dave for posting a review of Portal without finishing it. Few games REQUIRE a full playthrough to grasp what the game is REALLY about like the original Portal. I think he would easily bump it up a full letter and a half if he were to see what awaits him in the second act...

Re: Games or Interactive Stories?

But done right, games like that are amazing. I'm happy to go back and play an Uncharted game or Last of Us, both for the stories and the action I get to be a part of. I'm playing through the MW3 campaign right now and I notice that, alot of the time, I can just lay low and let the other soldiers do ...

"Math Fun". What kind of twisted universe does that game take place in?
