Re: Looney Tunes Blu Rays

I own the Golden Collections. I believe I'm current with having each release that has the best version of a particular cartoon shot across Laserdisc, DVD, and Blu-Ray. The only stuff I'm missing should be releases that just amount to rereleases with no new content, or older releases that have been ...

Re: Looney Tunes Blu Rays

I wish they'd do more. Just a fraction of Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies is out with the three Platinum Collections (And Looney Tunes Mouse Chronicles adds several others for a 4th release). Even tossing in DVD into the mix still leaves many of the cartoons absent on optical media. A quick glance at ...

Re: Times the VGC steered you right... or wrong

Readers often thank me for bringing their attention to certain games. Then again, I'm sure people have bought games based on on my reviews that didn't pan out. I'd like to hear any examples you have of these. I don't have any specific examples, but when I'm looking for a new game I typically check ...

Re: Framemeister Review

I love the overscan feature, where you can remove the ugly side bars on a lot of NES and SMS games (most notably Super Mario 3) Love this device. Glad you do. Which settings do you use? I use the setting from this website: http://www.firebrandx.com/framemeisterprofiles.html There's profiles for alm...

Re: Framemeister Review

I like your review! I have a Framemeister, and I love it! I don't have room nor the desire to have 2 tv's in my basement. Plus, I love using a large HDTV for all my needs. I know the Framemeister is expensive, by my thought is that if I'm going to spend all this money on games and systems, why play ...

Re: OK I admit it mobile gaming sucks

I have the argument on both sides. Without much of a barrier, anyone ca publish a youtube video, an ebook, record a song, etc. Having a middle layer between content creator and consumer can both block things that they don't like, but also filter out the crap. I have played great mobile games, like ...

Re: The depressing reality of some Nintendo fans (a rant)

I think some fans' expectations can be a little unrealistic. I mean, the Switch hasn't even been out a year yet! And, there's been already been a Zelda and Mario game released. Yes, this Direct was a bit underwhelming for 1st party stuff, but it was just a "mini" Direct. Wait until future ...

Re: Star wars the last jedi spoilers ahead.

Just saw this and I loved it! Couple of thoughts: - Loved that Snoke called out Kylo Ren at the beginning, basically telling him what all Star Wars fans were thinking: How could he not beat Rey who had never picked up a light sabre before, to get rid of the mask and that he's still a child. - Loved ...

Re: 1982: A Christmas to Remember

Great article! My favourite christmas was when my older brother bought me a Sega Master System in 1987. I still have it and play it to this day. One of my favourite xmas memories was actually from a few years ago. At the time I was 39 and my brother 47. Our city was hit by a big ice storm and my bro...
