Re: It looks like indie and smaller company support may reduce on PS5 based on a recent article

Not a fan of most new AAA games either, but I don't need a PS5 to play indie games; I can use my phone or tablet. The chances of an indie game attracting me to a new platform are fairly low. (The chance of any game convincing me to get a new system is low. ;)) If Sony had some exclusive indie game b...

Re: It looks like indie and smaller company support may reduce on PS5 based on a recent article

Skimmed it; don't see it as all that significant. Sony's worried Google's new console will cut into their market share. They know big games will attract more consumers than small games, so they're trying to get exclusive deals with major developers. This has the added benefit of cutting off Google's...

The novel has a riverboat scene, but it was left out of the 1st movie. Eventually the idea was used in JP3, along with a few other scrapped ideas, like the petradon cage & the backpack hang glider.

Here's the actual WSJ article: https://www.wsj.com/articles/sony-posit ... 1561800603

Still need to read it; just providing the link to simplify things. (Why read Nintendo Life's commentary when the original's right there?)

I enjoyed the 1st two levels of Jurassic Park; it's kinda like an updated version of Atari's Adventure, with dinosaurs! Never got past the 2nd boss. Did you? Did anyone?

Re: Ever buy a console for one specific game?

A PS3 for Lair.

Clarification: I'd owned a PS3 before but lost it. I saw the game for $2. I'd always been interested in it, even tho it got bad reviews, so I bought it figuring I could get another PS3 later.

A handful of unlicensed games won't work on the GBA.

Re: Should I buy an original Game Boy?

I've heard some screens have dead pixels, but I've not seen it myself. I need to get my old Game Boy out, to see if it's developed any problems.

I would recommend getting one for historical context, tho you will need to adjust the screen contrast knob for some games.

Re: Has anyone actually ever repaired a game disc without resurfacing?

Tried eyeglass cleaner on my scratched game disks; didn't work. Maybe it would've if they'd been dirty, not scratched.
