Re: PC-50x Consoles

The Telstar Arcade used a different series of chips made by MOS. Each cart included a microcontroller with custom graphics hardware. The Microvision also used microcontrollers in each cart. There was apparently a PC-50x system released in the U.S, but it's incredibly rare; only about four have shown...

Arcades, Game Rooms, & the Like.

I'm sure there's already an "arcade" topic, but the search engine considers "arcade" "too common," so here's another. Saw a video today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0F92T33BlVE Caption said the arcade's closing next year. Too bad; it looks fun. Any arcade-related me...

Re: Why ARM architecture for the Nintendo Switch is better then X86 from PS4/Xbox One!

Nope. But in the old days when CPU where either ARM based(3DO, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, 3DS, PS Vita), MIPS based (PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2), PowerPC based (GameCube, Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3). You can not just code dump lazily like X86. You had to dig ...

Re: Jurassic Park Video Game Review Special

Nice collection; it's great to see all these games together.

I enjoy the Game Boy version of Jurassic Park, but I can't get past the 2nd "boss," a heard of running triceratops. :(
