Re: Tales of Hardware Failures

Oh the failures. Here's a few: 1. Our home took a lightning strike, and as a result, so did my SNES. We brought it to a Nintendo repair shop and a five agonizing weeks later we had a new one. 2. The original XBox. I killed 3 of these playing Knights of the Old Republic. Three separate times. Crappy ...

Re: Does anyone else beside me, Dave the Video Game Critic, and Rich of ReviewTechUSA hate the PS4/Xbox One/Wii U?

I might be in the minority here, as I've owned each of the new systems. I say "owned" because I no longer have my PS4 or XBONE. Why? There aren't enough original games to keep my interest, and the ones that do, I can play on PC. On the other hand, I've been enjoying my Wii U. Nintendo's re...

Re: If Nintendo didnt have great mascots and handhelds, would they even be around anymore?

I was thinking the other day that if Sega had a better mascot who didnt have a slew of terrible games, they probably would still be producing consoles. The WiiU is pretty much done with. No great 1st party stuff for it, no great 3rd party stuff. Super expensive. 10 year old graphics capabilities wh...

Re: Favorite YouTube Gamers?

Best Youtube gamers in my opinion: AVGN: Classic stuff, nuff said. Classic Game Room: Literally the oldest video game show on the internet, now in its' third iteration. Mark's dry delivery and clear love of games makes the show. CGR Undertow: The other half of Classic Game Room, currently done. It m...

Re: Games everyone seems to like but you

There are lots of popular games that I don't care for, but the one game it seems like I should like but don't really is Mario 64. I admit maybe I just haven't given it a proper chance yet, but every time I start playing it I just don't seem to be having all that much fun. The camera is annoying to ...

Re: Why is Ocarina of Time on the 3DS so expensive????

Well, looks like I'll finally be picking up a copy of Pikmin 3. It's a bit of a surprise that Nintendo is releasing games for $19.99. Usually they're $29.99. It's about time. As somebody who hacked their Wii, I wouldn't wish bricking on anybody. I have a huge game collection, but being able to play ...

SNES Cleaning question

I bought an SNES with, of all things, a temporary tattoo on it. I've read that nail polish remover is good for removing temporary tattoos, but that if applied to plastic it will melt/warp it. I don't want that to happen, so, any advice?

Re: What games have you found disturbing?

Hey matmico99, thanks for the tip re: Shell Shock 2. I'm going to pick that up for my PS3.

Might I suggest Kagero: Deception 2 for the PS1? I love it but it's pretty effed up.
