Re: Xbox HL2

I wasn't aware of any level changes to Half-Life 2 on the original Xbox. Must be pretty subtle since it's the first I've heard of it. I'll have to keep my eyes open since I want to give it a spin soon after only playing the 360 and PC versions for the better part of 15 years now, since first playin...

Re: Xbox HL2

It IS a good conversion. While there are some minor hiccups in frame rate (nothing too horrendous) and some level design changes (some more noticeable than others) it's by-and-large the exact same game. So, still a fantastic romp, and a hell of a time. And best of all, the Xbox version is cheap!

Re: Which games have the best screenshots?

Need for Speed on the 3DO had magazine screenshots which blew me away back in the day.

Re: Favorite Rock Stars (Pre Grunge)

Was never a big Kix fan, although I really liked that song Cold Shower. Yeah, they were huge around here. When I was a teen I used to hang out at this guy-from-work's apartment (and drink of course) and he had people coming and going all the time. One night a bunch of guys come in and he's like &qu...

Re: I'm SCARTing!

I ended up snagging a 32" Sony monitor recently at a thrift shop. Colors look beautiful!

Re: Favorite Rock Stars (Pre Grunge)

Steve Whiteman of Kix is probably the greatest rock frontman of all time.

Did the critic ever get a chance to see them back in the day? He is a Maryland dude after all.

Re: Hard Pass from me on PS1 Classic

Rainbow Six on PS1 has a soft spot from me because I never played the PC version before, but it's NOT a good game! ROGUE SPEAR on the other hand, the sequel, would've fit very well! The list is seriously disappointing. No Parappa? THAT'S A SONY GAME! It would've been so easy to include. They just go...

Re: Greatest arcade in known universe near Pittsburgh, PA

Was just there today. Seems some of the stuff has been let go. A lot of the pinball games have problems. That said, the staff is VERY attentive to problems when you inform them there is an issue. Then again, I was the ONLY person there aside from a father and his son. 10 dollar admission on the week...

AVGN Adventures.

It's nothing but trial and error BS. It's not even remotely fun. Only the most rabid fans of the horribly unfunny nerd could find this funny. If they love bad videos, they'll love a bad video game!
