Re: Divinity: Original Sin (PS4)

I was listening to The Adventure Zone the other day, and it got me wanting to play a game of D&D. Problem is, I'm a sad and lonely hermit with nobody to play with. There's a site called Roll20 that lets people easily run tabletop games online. I'm on a Discord server that frequently has D&D...

Re: Night Driver 2600

The perfect night driving song in any case is The Cars' "Moving in Stereo", and it's period-appropriate too.

Re: Pointless Design Features?

Big fan of that little handle on the GameCube.

Also love that enormous red sticker on the Master System with a completely nonsensical schematic of how the system works. The card plugs into the cartridge, which plugs into POWER ON, which goes through the controllers into the TV. What?

Is that Richard Nixon on the Robotron box? Gotta love how his hand is growing right out of his biceps.

That tape player rules. I thought I knew most of the existing info about this game, but I didn't know that!

Re: Atari Lynx Box Art: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Great stuff. I like that the not-Terminators on the Xybots cover have a not-ED-209 helping them out in the background. Only thing missing is a not-Alien or two. I have to wonder how much all those movie swipes in old video games are worth in unpaid royalties. Minor issue: Chip's Challenge has the Sw...

Typo at the end of the Herzog Zwei review: "I wish you lucking finding it."

Re: Box stickers: On or off?

I'm not really a game collector, but I buy a lot of secondhand books, and it's always fun to see a receipt from 1989 tucked in the front or a single-figure price sticker on the back. I don't get rid of them.

Re: 2020/4/10: Game Boy Advance: Batman: Vengeance, Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu, Batman Begins

It's interesting that the Batman Begins review is still written from a 2005 perspective. Indie games like Cuphead and Hollow Knight have been part of a major resurgence for 2D platform games on home consoles this past decade. Typo in the Vengeance review: "The first stage is set rooftops" ...

Re: AVGN: Mortal Kombat reviews

The Tattoo Assassins segment had me cracking up -- and seeing the AVGN cover Shadow: War of Succession was a treat. That one is a real candidate for the title of "worst officially-released console game I've ever played" I don't know - that Kangaroo thing he just reviewed for the CD32 or t...
