Whats in your current rotation

Killzone Shadow Fall (PS4) - I've finished the single player earlier in the year, I went back and tried the multi-player and now I can't stop playing it. Blackthorne (32x) - Never released in the UK recently picked up a great repro copy with European style box art. We missed something with this game...

Creator of the First Console Dead at 92

Well it was Bushnell who got video games into the mainstream with drive and business acumen so I don't begrudge him the reverence he gets, without Bushnell there would probably be no video game market. I do agree though that Ralph should at least get equal billing as after all he did invent the medi...

Favorite enemy?

Evil Otto (Berzerk) - Despite the nice smiley face look, as soon as that electronic voice booms out and the game screen freezes for a second my heart rate and pulse increase as I run from the indestructible stalker. Dobkeratops (R-Type) - One of my favourite enemies ever, Ok he's a walk over once yo...

If you could send 5 games back in time to yourself, when you were a kid...

I had the ZX Spectrum and Atari ST when I was a lad, and the MegaDrive as a teenager. So here's the games I would send back and what I would tell myself. Jetpac (ZX Spectrum) - It's great and cheap don't waste your time with another subpar beat 'em up! Wings of Death (Atari ST) - Great shoot 'em up ...

Your Least Favorite Genre?

I give most genres ago, I didn't like RPG's previously but they are starting to grow on me now after playing Final Fantasy, Vay and Phantasy Star.
I can't get into serious flight simulators or heavy going strategy games just not enough happening for me.

James Pond II: Codename Robocod (Genesis)

I have this for my Atari ST haven't played it in a (very) long while though, I seem to remember enjoying it but also getting lost or being unsure what to do. Looking forward to the review, might have to break this out again and have a fresh look at it.

Playstation 20th Anniversary

[QUOTE=Atarifever]To me, the system is THE teenager system.  The old Crash platformer ads, Lara Croft's butt, Twisted Metal, the teen angst of Final Fantasy VII, Tony Hawk, etc.  That system was very clearly directed AT teenagers.  It was the system that said it wanted teens playing m...

Playstation 20th Anniversary

Seeing as this year is the 20th anniversary of the Playstation brand I thought it would be an idea for a thread to discuss the Playstation. There can be no argument that Playstation was the brand that brought gaming into the main stream and effectively targeted gamers older than teenagers. They've h...

What are your favorite consoles/systems?

Sega Saturn - I'm going to be in a minority here but I love this system, it's got Sega's best arcade racers, brilliant light gun games and is the system for beat em ups. But also it almost has a second life when you go into the Japanese import scene masses and masses of games never released here in ...
