Re: New Atari Portable?

There is a new Atari Flashback 9 out that has 110 games built in. I don't recall seeing a new portable unit though. The only two I am aware of are the one with Frogger and the one with PacMan.

Re: ABC Monday Night Football (SNES)

Yeah for sure a side-effect of Madden being a year or two delayed on the SNES meant that there were some pretty terrible stop-gap football games on the system. I remember the launch title Super Play Action Football which was on a diagonal play-field. It included NFL, college, and some high school te...

Re: 2018/10/11: Genesis: Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi, Incredible Crash Test Dummies, The

I've always wondered why Shadow Dancer on the Genesis was different than all other ports. While the play mechanics are similar, the levels are completely different. I do prefer the Genesis version though so perhaps it's a 'fun factor' thing.

Re: PC games that never got a proper console port?

Some of my all-time favorites are: Batman Returns (the PC port is a point & click which follows the movie very closely with really good for the time graphics). Phantasmagoria (another point & click although a game featuring a violent FMV rape scene probably wouldn't be a good fit on a consol...

Re: Games so bad you have to shut it off

I always liked the Sega CD as it was one of the first major consoles I owned. I personally liked a majority of the games (especially the FMV stuff). That being said, Wirehead was only played once in my house. I started the game, couldn't figure a thing out, and turned it off. It's never been revisit...

Re: Musicians ?

Music to me has always been more of hobby rather than something I professionally pursued but... I've played piano for over 30 years (since I was like 5). In middle and high school, I was a first chair trumpet most of the time in concert and symphonic band. I also played in a regional concert band. I...

Re: 2018/9/11: Nintendo Switch: Sonic Mania Plus

Question re: the review, you mentioned the new bonus stage where you run around a track ala F-Zero defeating UFOs. Isn't that similar to the bonus stage in Sonic CD (Sega CD)? I assume it's much better on the Switch though.

Re: Madden 19 (Playstation 4)

For me, my favorites are Madden '92 (Genesis) as it is close to the fun of the original Madden where you could really run up the score but has all of the teams (for the time). After that, I'd go with Madden 3DO, NFL 2K1 (Dreamcast) and NFL 2K5 (XBox) in no particular order. I especially like the pre...

Re: Atari VCS is a scam!

Remember the Ouya? https://i.gifer.com/DBUX.gif Hey I like the Ouya. I have one set up in my office and it still works well. Of course, I rooted the thing and loaded Google Play store on it so I can get some actual decent games but I digress. I think it was just marketed incorrectly.
