Re: Atari Box update

https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/03/09/the_ataribox_lives/ Here we go again. Just when I thought it was dead, someone announces that a prototype will appear at the GDC. Strange Hacks of Well Known Games

Hi. Check out this really strange hack of Ms. Pac-Man I happened to stumble upon while perusing this website. It pretty much plays the same as the original, though instead of ghosts chasing you, there are firemen with hoses instead. https://archive.org/details/arcade_msheartb Also be sure to read th...

Re: 1977 Game System Reviews

I think the thing that I got the biggest kick out of was not the fact that a magazine like Popular Mechanics had an article in this particular issue that reviewed video game consoles. It was looking at all the old ads for cigarettes, alcohol, television sets, and of course, ads and articles with all...

Re: Centipede or Millipede?

Gotta go with Centipede on this one. Specifically the Atari 2600 version. Now don't get me wrong. Millipede is a really fun and addicting game, and I've spent countless hours playing the 2600 and NES versions of this classic. But I choose Centipede because that was the one I played first. And to me,...

Re: Atari Flashback 8

Looks like there's a pretty solid lineup of games on this little console. Unfortunately, there's also a few gems for the 2600 that they left off for one reason or another. For example, I would have loved to have seen Midnight Magic included on the list , as I think it's one of the better pinball tit...

Re: Explain a video game badly

Freeway: Oversized chicken crosses a very busy road. We're still trying to figure out why. I say it's because it was playing too much Frogger. Just like the rest of us.... :D
