Re: Double Dragon 2600 vs 7800

It's interesting that the handheld versions of Double Dragon (Gameboy, Atari Lynx and later Gameboy Advance) are the best ones out there. Glad you omitted the Game Gear version which was terrible. Yeah. That one was pretty bad for sure. And worst of all, it dosen't even feel like a Double Dragon ga...

Re: Double Dragon 2600 vs 7800

I played both, and to me, both are just terrible. Heinous, even. But with that being said, if I had to make a choice between the two, I'd probably go for the 7800 port. Just because it at least resembles the arcade version, and you can also attack the enemy. In theory, that is....

[quote="envytomdead"] I still can't get past mission 2. I have gotten past the Abobo screen usually with one bar of energy in my last life and then I am quickly killed Geez> i wish I could get that far in the game. I always die on the second screen in the first mission where three guys jus...

Re: The 55 dollar question...

I'd probably go for the C64 mini. I never had one nor did I know anybody in my circle of friends who had one either when I was a kid. So I'm very curious as to how good a gaming machine it actually was. And since I really don't have the time, space or money to spend on an actual C64, the games and s...

Re: Games to Play When You're Sick?

Hmmm... Probably one of those hand held Atari 2600 Flashback consoles that the folks at At Games have put out. Because not only do you not have to get up out of bed or off the couch to change games. You can also use the pause feature whenever you have to stop playing to take some cold medication, ea...

Re: Bad game names

1) Rail Chase for the Atari 2600. With a name like that, you'd think it was a game about racing trains or some other vehicle. But no, it's just a re-named version of Lock n Chase. And since the title really has nothing to do with the game (I don't think it does anyway), that makes it lame. 2) Laser ...

Re: Good movies you’ve watched recently

Me and the girlfriend went out to see Holmes and Watson over the Christmas holidays. And we couldn't stop laughing at it. Will Farrell and John C. Reilly hit it out of the park this time. And I loved the brief cameo by WWE superstar Braun Strowman. The funny thing, though, is that we both wanted to ...
