Re: The Games of Autumn

I'm always tempted to give Faxanadu a try because I remember there being alot of buzz about it back in the day, but I have a hard time getting going early on. I have been playing this game on my NES Classic. I enjoy it but to be honest I need help from a gamefaq guide to move things along. It's not...

Re: C64 - Happy 35th Birthday to the Commodore 64

The problem with a C-64 flashback is that you would need a keyboard. Not really. Most C64 games used joystick control. You could not possible be more wrong with your statement. Most games had a keyboard overlay that allowed quick reference to the keyboard commands. True that many games were joystic...

Re: C64 - Happy 35th Birthday to the Commodore 64

Making 'backup' copies of games was commonplace. In part, we justified it by being burned year after year, investing your meager dollars for an expensive cartridge game that just wasn't much fun. I don't remember too many 'try it out' display booths, and there was no Gamestop to trade or buy used, ...

Re: C64 - Happy 35th Birthday to the Commodore 64

The C-64 is my favorite system of all time. I have so many fond memories playing this system when I was a kid. My and my buds would spend hours playing Summer Games, Micro League Baseball, Crusade In Europe, Gunship and just about any other game made by Micropose. I sold my system along with my hund...

Re: Splatoon 2 (okay, so I caved)

I still can't figure out for the life of me why people would invest in this system (Zelda) as there is literally zero third party support and a paltry one game per month release (save for download titles). Anyway enjoy, hopefully it doesn't turn into an expensive door stop for ya!

Re: Bootleg NES Classics

BY the way I did not buy a bootleg NES classic. I bought an actual NES classic that has been modded. I cannot attest to the quality of the bootleg versions.

Re: Bootleg NES Classics

I bought one on Ebay, NES classic with 700 games. I also ordered a wireless controller. I LOVE IT!!! I was skeptical but so far it is amazing. Plus, you have 4 save slots for each game. It is incredible the amount of games on this tiny machine. I am not the biggest Nintendo fan. I just don't get it....

Re: 2017/5/11: Nintendo Switch: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Bomberman R

I can't for the life me understand the appeal of Mario Kart. Track design is cool, graphics are great but the game is just slow to me (I owned it for the WiiU). Plus it is the same old tired game design....win four races for the gold! Rinse and repeat. This is just a tired racing game from the 90's,...
