Re: This is terrible news for those wanting the Switch port of Spyro Reignited Trilogy physical

https://nintendoeverything.com/spyro-reignited-trilogy-physical-version-has-a-mandatory-8-7gb-download-on-switch/ It requires a 8.7GB update and unlike the vanelia PS4 and Xbox One versions, this cart is a brick without the update. So it even worse than PS4 and Xbox One physical as they let you pla...

Re: Still not sold on Google Stadia

If they can stream content with minimal lag then all console and GPU manufacturers are going to sweat. Google, the mightly corporation, who at will can manipulate data and information for the whole world, can spy and infiltrate our lives in ways unforseen, the company that Sci Fi writers were warnin...

Re: Will you miss Game Stop

I do somewhat still like brick and mortar stores. I had a holiday in the UK this summer(I have been there many times and have family residing in South England). In the UK, unlike most cities in the US, downtown is actually where the hub of shopping activity lurks. England is not so much into "m...

Re: Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (PS1)

Tomb Raider the Last Revelation: Is the one where you are introduced to a precocious < 16yo Lara Croft where for some reason she is hanging around with some old man in a tomb? Yeah I remember this game. This is the lousiest and cheapest of all Tomb Raider titles. I felt that number III took far too ...

Re: Super Castlevania IV Retrospective

I do not think Castlevania IV is at all a bad game, it is a very good game. The bar is set high with this series and a high bar lends harsh criticism. Dracula X on the SNES for instance gets absolutely hammered but it is a good game by any reasonable measure. A solid 7/10. But for a Castlevania titl...

Re: Super Castlevania IV Retrospective

I don't usually play these really hard games like Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden, or Castlevania, but I'm interested to hear why you say it's easy. Definitely not disputing your post, but I'd like more insight. Is it specifically because of the limitations of the SNES that the game seems easier? Part of wh...

Re: The Frostbite (game engine) is hot garbage!

It a miserable little pile of secrets.... Easily in my top 10 games of all time, this little quote is only rivalled by the voice segments in Valis II. As for engine, while trash, a good game still requires good design. The Engine does not fix bad games. All the games you mentioned, even if upscaled...

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

I have not played a game as compulsively as Bloodstained Ritual of the Night since perhaps Axiom Verge and Horizon Zero Dawn. I have been glued to my computer, ignoring work, and so on. I was pleasantly surprised that Bloodstained ran on my Laptop and the keyboard was a perfectly acceptable control ...

Re: Skitchin' (Sega Genesis) [Road Rash on roller blades]

Thanks for the post. This takes me right back to my childhood. I remember playing this when I was around 12 or 13 years old. It's resemblance to Road Rash is uncanny but I do believe this one was developed by EA. While not a particularly novel game it was still good fun at the time. I spent many an ...

Re: Super Mario Odyssey

Odyssey was awesome. My one complaint though is that it did not challenge enough, particularly boss battles. I am sure finding all the moons is hard but, like Breath of the Wild finding Korock Seeds, the experience is not overly gratifying. There were some classic "only Nintendo could do this&q...
