Re: 2019/11/6: 3DO: Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller

Quite a surprise at the book store tonight. That's awesome! I love dirt-cheap no-name sci-fi paperbacks. Though I do find it funny that Half Price Books lived up to its name and charged you exactly half the original asking price for that one. I would've fished it out of the 50 cent bin, for sure. F...

Re: Star Wars Rise of the Skywalker

Interesting thread. Having not seen any of the modern Star Wars movies since the end of the prequel trilogy, I have a hard time commenting on any of the newer ones, but I like seeing everyone's opinion, all the same. I do find it funny that the name of this thread mis-labeled the title of the newest...

Re: Best Game--Every Decade

Great replies, Litch and Noah. Doom never made me motion sick, but man, did some of those early full-3D FPS games ever do the trick! Quake and Turok, in particular. I mostly blame Turok's issues on the squirrely N64 joystick, as I had the hardest time aiming in that game and would usually just end u...

Re: Best Game--Every Decade

90s: Another World That's a rad game. Called "Out of This World" when I played it, but man, did I have a great time with that one back in the day. Not my favorite, but it's nice to be reminded about it. Great call! I've been holding off commenting on this board, mainly because I'm pretty ...

Re: 2019/12/18: Playstation 4: Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Dead or Alive 6

Never played any of the Life is Strange games, though I've been told I should. I hear they take place in Oregon (where I live) but also hear that they kind of tend to make the people out here look bad. Heh, maybe I'll find out, someday. I like the DOA6 review. I don't have the retail game, but I did...

Re: Microsoft naming fails

... and to make a post relevant to the topic, while I don't care for Microsoft's Xbox naming choices, I don't feel as if they're any worse than "Dreamcast" or "2DS XL." I even though "GameBoy" was a bit odd when I was younger, and just figured it was a play on "Wal...

Re: Microsoft naming fails

The important thing is that Microsoft keeps making their exclusives available to Game Pass for PC. I've been playing Xbox-related content nearly for free for the past 4 years just by accumulating Bing points and spending them on Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. Color me intrigued - ...

Re: Grid Snaps Podcast

I am now a professor of practice at Purdue University in Indiana, teaching game design, level design, and so on. I'm almost done with my first semester and it is a BLAST. I loooove working with the kids. They've amazing. WHUUUUUT?? Man, does that take me back. We've never met, rohoGames, but we do ...

Re: New Bunny Rabbit Icon!

Indeed! Thanks for the link, LoganRuckman.

Off the top of my head, I could only think of Eggplant Wizard from Kid Icarus, and maybe one of the characters from Princess Tomato and the Salad Kingdom. I figured there was bound to be more, and, well, there is!

The more you know...
