Re: Earthbound (SNES) retrospective

My kids were HUGE fans of Earthbound back in when they were little, and I was lucky enough to score an original SNES cart for less than $100. I think my oldest son played through it at least 5 or 6 times, and I remember thinking that one day I should sit down and give it a play-through myself. That...

Golden Axe III (Japan)

After a near month long hiatus due to vacation in Ecuador and Costa Rica (both were enjoyable), I'm back with a rare review of the third game in the series that didn't get a US release as some people think it's bad, when it's actually quite good. I've been looking for the true best Golden Axe and I ...

This game Earthbound was released in the USA, in Japan as Mother 2 (the first was released on NES in 1990), and this never got a release in the UK for some reason.

Earthbound (SNES) retrospective

Time to go back to the past with another RPG review! Since I was on vacation in a foreign country, this was perfect. I can remember nearly 25 years ago seeing the larger than average box for this at my local supermarket wondering why it was that size and thanks to emulation, I now know why. It’s an ...

Re: Final Fantasy VII retrospective

If anyone has the app version, besides being now portable as you can get, you now have the option to turn off encounters! Won't work for boss fights though....

Re: Thrill Kill (unreleased PS1)

Interesting - I never heard that they released it online. I just watched a video of it though. Thanks for the tip. I assume it's in unfinished form, so how well does it play and control? You guys won't be hearing from me for a while, so this one will be my last one before I go on a hiatus. Hope it'...

Primal Rage fight videos

For anyone who was a fan of the Primal Rage game, this should satiate a long overdue apetite. There's three videos with different matchups: Armadon vs Sauron, Survival vs Insanity, and my favorite Blizzard vs Diablo. Who wins I won't tell you you just have to see for yourself. Armadon vs Sauron http...

Thrill Kill (unreleased PS1)

You guys won't be hearing from me for a while, so this one will be my last one before I go on a hiatus. When you think of a violent game, the first games that come to mind are Mortal Kombat and Doom. But this one put both to instant shame though EA game didn't release it as they didn't want some sen...

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (Arcade)

Back to the arcades! This one is based off the famous movie, and includes plenty of replayability for an old arcade game! You only have one button for whip action which does a lot of things, transport across gaps, stun thuggees and defeats lesser enemies, break down/over objects, and liberate childr...
