Re: Making the site easier to read?

The alternating blue/black background actually makes it harder for me to read. One thing that's particularly jarring is that the colour changes mid-sentence which kinda messes with the flow of the text (I'm also finding myself double-checking I haven't accidentally skipped a line when the colour cha...

Re: The Last Dance (ESPN)

I guess the nature of the game itself kinda lends itself to that. I mean you only really have a roster of what, 12-14 players? Most of your starters are gonna play like 80-90% of each game, so even if the salary cap was a lot stricter, it's kinda unavoidable how much of an impact the best players wi...

Re: The Last Dance (ESPN)

Yeah guys like Steph Curry and the over reliance on 3s really ruined the game for me too. On a related note, this video from a few years ago looked into the impact removing the 3 point line would have on the game that's quite interesting. (I also recommend the other Chart Party videos and seeking ou...

Re: The Last Dance (ESPN)

This got added to Netflix couple weeks ago - I really should get around to checking it out. The 90s really is my favourite era of NBA.

Re: Why no 2d Systems after 1990

I was playing my Mega Drive right up until it expired in mid-99 before upgrading to the PS1 - and that wasn’t out of stubbornness to upgrade or anything. I’m not saying 12 year old me was right, but I had absolutely zero interest in 2D games afterwards. They may look rough today, but back then the g...

Re: Old Gaming Magazines

Aside from the brief, borderline SEGA-propaganda, reviews in Sonic the Comic I used to read as a kid, I never bought gaming mags until I got a PS1. So lately I've been checking out some old SEGA Magazines scans to see what I missed out on - found a decent one we had here called SEGA Pro which launch...

Re: Lightening Force (Genesis)

Hoping to check this one out at some point – I did hear quite a few places say this should have made it onto the Mega Drive Mini over Thunder Force III. So this game was called Thunder Force IV outside of America. Why did Sega of America change it? That's dumb. Even dumber is spelling it wrong! I ne...

Re: Hottest Video Game Babes

Mine has always been.....Tifa Lockhart! I mean come on, that sweet smile, long black hair and white crop top. Yup, seconded. Tifa (Final Fantasy VII) gets my vote too. Must have subconsciously affected my game because the date part in The Gold Saucer was Cloud and Tifa. I didn't even know until aft...

Re: 007 James Bond Games

If you want one out of left field there was 007 Racing on PS1. I've never played it, so I can't vouch how good/bad it is, but whenever I've seen any videos about people doing PS Classic or Pi builds it always seems to be there.

Re: Lynx Fold-Out Manuals

I don't know what type of Lynx instruction manuals are worse: the thick, black-and-white manuals printed in 17 languages, or these fold-out poster kind. As someone used to growing up with at least 6 other languages in most PAL game manuals I'd definitely go with the poster being far worse. As handy...
