Re: Video Game Clichés?

I'm not too sure exactly what you're looking for but what about the abilities of a type of character? Such as women typically being healers, being quicker and more agile than their male counterparts, while usually being weaker physical attackers? Also, you could go with the unrealistic body proporti...

Re: Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain for PS1

I imagine this game was a lot more impressive back when it was first released. It seems that most 3d games from that era hadn't really figured out how to properly so these types of games yet so a lot of the earlier games are pretty poor by today's standards. Are you planning on playing soul reaver? ...

Re: 2015/4/29: Saturn: Enemy Zero

Did you mean "it's not very fun to play"? Anyway, I can understand your complaints on the game but I think as a horror game it actually succeeds. The game is quite scary and I don't think it would have the same effect if the enemies were visible, the saving wasn't limited, and you're gun s...

Re: Chrono Trigger (Nintendo DS)

Rev - Did you get around to playing Chrono Cross? I love Chrono Trigger, but I think I love Cross even more. Amazing soundtrack, huge cast of varied characters, no random battles, beautiful art, and great battle system. The thing I love most is the way it handles leveling. You can't be under or ove...

This sounds pretty cool. Is it a fairly cheap Genesis title?

Re: The Criticize Nintendo Thread

I love the fact that Nintendo had multiple controller options. Almost always the games on the Wii u support several different configurations so even if you don't have them all it isn't a bit deal.

Re: Reproduction carts?

Speaking of Castlevania II Redact, I think it would be super cool if someone did a hack of Castlevania II and took it even a step further. Since a lot of the "dungeons" tend to be criticized for little to no boss fights, simple designs, etc, I think it would be amazing if someone took the ...

Re: Why did the NES do so well in the US

Scotland you make some really interesting points. One thing I'm curious about is how Nintendo power played into the success of the original Nintendo. I believe that came out in 1988 while Nintendo fan club might have came out before. I wasn't that old back then.. I was born in 1987 so it was a littl...

Re: Did You Use Cheat Codes?

I don't really have a set rule on cheat codes but they are also something I don't use too often. It really depends on the game. I used to have all the GTA 3 cheats memorized, like tank, weapons, etc. I think pretty much everyone who owned the game back then used those codes to basically go on murder...

Re: NFL Blitz (N64)

I have a lot of found memories of the Blitz game on the PS1. I have never played the N64 version. I remember that I didn't have a memory card large enough to save my data on competition mode because it took so many save blocks, so I had to to play through the entire 3-4 hour season in one session. T...
