Re: 2019/3/26: Playstation 4: God of War

That is my problem the 8th gen was a small leap compared to the past as many games did not look that much better then the PS3/Xbox 360, this video says it best.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKXK1d7Jdu4 Just a recommendation, Sonic. No need to quote someone's entire post, only the specific part(...

Re: Stranger Things (Netflix)

FINALLY I listened to my friends' recommendations and started watching Stranger Things! My girlfriend and I were so hooked we finished both seasons in 2 weeks. Love the 80s style and the hearkening back to simpler times of playing outdoors and going on adventures with your friends. Can't wait for se...

I love the Sega Saturn

I recently picked up a modded Hi Saturn (Japanese exclusive Hitachi-manufactured variant) that plays games from all regions as well as - most importantly - burned CD-ROMs. The Saturn is arguably the best 2D gaming console ever made. If only Sega of America had leaned into the Saturn's strengths rath...

Re: Last Blockbuster in America

Thoughts? It was just straight-up a superior experience. Not just Blockbuster, but local video rental stores like Premiere Video in Dallas or Black Lodge Video in Memphis, TN, which are both now sadly closed. The endless options on Netflix are great, but the personal feel of getting recommendations...

Re: 2019/3/20: Nintendo 64: Super Mario 64, Namco Museum 64

I believe SM64 is great game. Perhaps I remember it more fondly because I did play it in ‘96. Strange, I really like the graphics in this game. The problem is it just rubs me the wrong way thinking about how jacked up I was about the N64 after playing SM64, which when evaluated as a launch title, h...

Re: 2019/3/20: Nintendo 64: Super Mario 64, Namco Museum 64

I'm gonna have to differ with you on this one Critic. SM64 is a sublime game and should certainly rank an A+ on the 64, which is comparatively starved for titles of its caliber. I've always thought your Ocarina of Time review to be astonishingly low as well - and let's not talk about your MM review ...

Re: Google Stadia aka the most anti Video Game Critic console ever!

Funny how their slogan is "a gaming platform for everyone" when the U.S. specifically has such bad internet availability throughout vast sections of the country that accessing a service like this would be impossible for many, many people.

Re: Game store moral dilemma

Buy, play, and resell. :D It's only a 20 hour game, and mostly linear (i.e., not much side-questing to do), so it's manageable to finish quickly. You could have it in and out within a month. I actually prefer PDS over any of the Final Fantasy RPGs - it's my favorite RPG that I've ever played. Anyon...

Re: Game store moral dilemma

Actually, the shopkeeper was SUPER cool about it and when I apologized even said "I'd have done the same thing to be honest." When he said this, did he clench his teeth really hard, and could you see a large vein in his forehead begin to pulsate? Haha! No, he seemed genuinely cool about i...
