Re: 2019/9/22: Nintendo Switch: Horizon Chase Turbo, Dragon's Lair Trilogy

Great game in my opinion. But everyone's taste is different, so it's good in a way to see a diverging opinion out there on this game when it's largely garnered praise from those that have played it. I did find the review just a bit contradictory though with the complaints about how the game is too e...

Re: Horizon Chase (Switch)

Final Freeway has a nice aesthetic, but no difficulty. It's an extremely easy game which should never be the case for an arcade racer.

Sounds like the Critic didn't like Horizon Chase, but I'm loving it so far after 3 or 4 hours.

Re: Horizon Chase (Switch)

A game it very much is like and takes the majority of its inspiration from is a great sprite scaling racer on the Super Nintendo called Top Gear (No relation to the tv show). The Horizon Chase developers even hired the same music composer as that Super Nintendo game. I just bought this on the PS4 an...

Re: Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection officially announced for everything but for everything but Google Stadia and Atar

Running out of worthwhile classic Mega Man content, but I hope this sells well enough to justify one last collection with the five Game Boy games, Mega Man (Game Gear), Mega Man Powered Up (PSP), and Mega Man & Bass (GBA). Then about all that anyone cares about that's missing from these Legacy C...

Re: 2019/8/17: Xbox: Outrun 2, Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast

Outrun 2019 actually is quite good. The gameplay and challenge level is fine, the game offers solid graphics with some special effects that you won't see on any other 16 bit racer (Like racing on an elevated highway while a ground-level road is next to you for scenery), it has a good sense of speed ...

Re: Xbox and Privacy

I can't vouch for it, but I've read that these "mistakes" only happened to users that opted in for allowing Microsoft to utilize their data to improve Kinect voice recognition.

Makes it slightly more palatable if true, but good riddance just the same.

Re: A Sega published game comes to the Nintendo Switch NES Online app!

An odd combination for me would've been Sega on the PS1. It morphed into those lackluster 3D remakes on the Playstation 2 that weren't well received (Helping cement Sega's relationship with M2 when they happily took over the project), but initially the announced aim was to port Saturn games to the o...

Re: A Sega published game comes to the Nintendo Switch NES Online app!

Does seem like an odd combination, doesn't it? Worth remembering though that actual Sega content made it out on the NES and other consoles of the time thanks to Sega not abandoning the American console model of supporting a healthy competitor until the early 1990's. This was all done by licensing co...

Re: Unsupported Video Signal for PS1 games on PS2?

If you use progressive scan in GameCube games for the improved visual quality, I'm not sure that will work. The Retrotink website when I was looking at it a few weeks ago made it sound like a 480p analog component input wasn't able to be converted to a digital 480p output via HDMI with the Retrotink...

Re: Unsupported Video Signal for PS1 games on PS2?

If you want to play your PS1 through this and want it to look good, HD Retrovision builds original Playstation component cables that tap into the system's native RGB capabilities and converts it to North American ‎YPbPr component video https://www.hdretrovision.com/playstation Technically, it's actu...
