Re: PS4 and Xbox One remote play

Thanks guys. Sounds like the results won't be worth it. I still might run a couple of ethernet cables since my wifi connection from my PC is a bit spotty and I have an older Xbox 360 without wifi in the other room, so the effort won't be wasted even if I get the poor results I anticipate. I'm surpri...

PS4 and Xbox One remote play

Anyone have any experience here? Since it would be advantageous for my setup, I've been messing around with the PC and Playstation TV options for streaming PS4 games and found them pretty disappointing via wifi through my router. Picture is too dark, frame rate isn't entirely smooth, and there's com...

Re: PS3 vs PS4

Happened to open that link again and noticed a real glaring error. It says that "Gamers could previously download PS2 classics and save game to the PS3 drive, but Sony closed the PS3 store in 2018". That is of course not at all accurate in regard to the Playstation Store's status. Not sure...

Re: PS3 vs PS4

I do see one error with that site. Sony never patched out PS2 backwards compatibility on BC 80 gig models. It would've been big news, likely bigger than the removal of Other OS was, had Sony done that. Maybe the site was confused when BC 80 GB models got replaced with 80 GB non-PS2 compatible system...

Re: Rampart (Genesis)

The arcade game used a track-ball, which never translates perfectly to a modern analog stick on a classic arcade compilation. http://arcadegamemachines.biz/en/image/Dedicated_original_Atari_Rampart_Arcade_Machine_01_xssx.jpg Controls such as track-balls are the main issue with emulating both the ori...

Re: Why the WII-U is now my 'go to' console.

Believe it or not, I have my Wii U hooked up to a CRT, even though it's more than capable of stunning HD. Hey, old habits die hard! How's that work out for you? I've had mine hooked up via component to my Trinitron before and it seemed like the overscan was pretty bad with a lot of stuff cut off th...

Re: Life Is Strange Before the Storm install issues

Thought there'd be some discussion on this topic. Are others around here okay with these mandatory installations on PS4/XB1 and the disappearance of being able to play a game directly off a disc? I personally haven't found them overly burdensome on my PS4, although I'd obviously share the Critic's a...

Re: Peculiar gaming habits

I noticed that years ago back in college. Was somewhat losing interest in watching NASCAR on tv, not a fan of the tv networks at the time or the way the sport was evolving. But while I'd be regularly missing races when I had the time to watch, just give me a race on Sunday afternoon when there was s...

Re: Life Is Strange Before the Storm install issues

Sounds more like the developers screwed up rather then a fault with how the PS4 operates. And sadly, there's not a chance of it disappearing with the PS5. They can't stream data off a 100 GB UHD Blu-Ray fast enough for data intensive modern games. Even HDD's are getting to be viewed as too slow to c...

Re: Mega drive flicker means busted cartridge?

Unlikely.

What sort if display are you playing on? Sounds more like they're doing something strange with their resolution or refresh rate that your television doesn't like.

Could you try a different tv?
