Re: No Zelda Wii U in 2015

Nintendo reconfirmed Zelda U for the Wii U in 2016 today and also announced that they're releasing a new remaster next March to help tide us over in the meantime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU4rizKpxfM After it releases, Twilight Princess will have been on the last three generations of Nintendo...

Re: Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii console reviews

Plenty of mention about how hard drive space quickly fills up but no mention of how easy it is to upgrade your hard drive. I spent about $40 for a 1TB one while your stuck using official Microsoft ones that cost a lot more.. If you even can find one new that's an official Microsoft product. After t...

Re: 2015/11/11: Playstation 4: Bloodborne, Shovel Knight

Glad you enjoyed Shovel Knight. It's too bad that Mega Man 9 and 10 remain absent at retail and continue to be digital exclusives. You'd of loved those NES styled Mega Man sequels that pretty much single handily inspired this wave of modern 8 bit styled independent releases that has perhaps reached ...

Re: 2015/9/17: Xbox One: Rare Replay

They may not expire, but unless a recent policy change has occurred, your XB1 downloads won't work without being a gold subscriber (Just like how Playstation Plus is setup). Only on the Xbox 360 do they actually operate as if you had spent money to purchase them, granting you offline access and the ...

Re: Bridge (Atari 2600)

One reason why it may seem strange is that it's a trainer and doesn't even feature a full fledged game of bridge. It's for learning particular scenarios, something that the manual goes into as I recall (And which is also why it doesn't have any basic rules for the game of bridge, as you noticed; It'...

Re: Lack of retro goodness on PSN/XBLA

If we're talking Sega, I'd love to see the following... -A golden age compilation with Turbo, Congo Bongo, Monaco GP, and as many other Sega coinops from 1984 and earlier (Some would have to be skipped like Star Trek, I suppose, but most of it is free and clear). -Seeing Sega's 3D Classics work with...

Re: Lack of retro goodness on PSN/XBLA

There are continued rumors and reports that Sony is planning PS1/PS2 emulation for the PS4. So those PS3 downloads of PS1/PS2 classics and the original discs could soon be usable. Would be an excellent counter to Microsoft's limited 360 emulation when that feature goes public later this year for XB1...

Re: Goldeneye (Nintendo 64)

It might be helpful to spend some more time with the Perfect Dark remastering on Rare Replay first. Getting the low frame rate and low resolution out of the way while experiencing gameplay that's nearly identical to Goldeneye will help you best gauge the strength of the underlying game while not all...

Re: Worst Nintendo holiday lineup and pricing ever?

In Fatal Frame's defense, several popular review outlets that received it well don't provide scores and thus aren't represented at Metacritic. And 9 of the reviews there have it pegged in the 70-74% category, 11 from 75%-85%, 1 at 90%, and only 8 failing grades (Including a couple of names well know...

Re: Fatal Frame Wii U

I'm skeptical and don't put much stock into this stuff, but several mainstream reviewers are giving this mediocre scores. I suspect though that something like this review from GameXplain, which strikes me as more independent than most outlets, is going to be most accurate for the average gamer. They...
