Re: How to Win at Video Games (1982 Book)

The Digital Press library has this and many other classic books scanned in and freely available. http://www.digitpress.com/library/books/book_how_to_win_at_video_games_complete_guide.pdf About the only worthwhile resource there these days, compared to 15 years ago when it was the go-to place for any...

Re: Mario Kart DLC Pack 2 details

The patch that adds this is not out until the DLC itself, but the impressions I've read (And seen, such as with the video linked to above), it's definitely a big increase in speed. Just look how far you can jump on the F-Zero track for an easy comparison. There's no way as far as I can see it, that ...

Re: Mario Kart DLC Pack 2 details

At least the two GBA tracks are so changed up, that they're almost unrecognizable outside of their theme. So it's really more like 6 of the 8 tracks are original. Looking forward to Sunset Wilds, another Super Circuit track, getting similar treatment in some future Mario Kart release. As far as I ca...

Re: Phantasy Star Order?

I think the Sonic Ultimate Collection is as good as it gets as far as emulation quality. There might be issues I'm not aware of with Phantasy Star specifically???? Golden Axe Warrior was fine when I played that one to completion (The other Master System title here), so I suspect that it runs Phanta...

Re: New Forums Open for Business!

Went to the old forum today out of habit, and see it's covered in ads such as one for dating Russian women. Your old host didn't waste any time after you let it go in trying to get some advertising revenue out of the hits it's still receiving. If you change the scheme here, I hope it's easy on the e...

Here's an example. The right hand side of these images are all cut off.

And here's a screenshot of how it looks on my computer.

They're being cropped, rather than downscaled intact.

Re: New Forums Open for Business!

I notice with some embedded images that are at a fairly high resolution that were imported from the old forum, that they're not being scaled to fit my 4:3 desktop at 1024x768 like they previously were on the old forum. Instead, they're being cropped and I'm just seeing a zoomed in portion of them. W...
