Re: PS1 Suggestions

Just ordered Metal Gear Solid off of Ebay. Yes I used the link off this site. Probably order a few others as well. Herschie, did you get a chance to try it out? Or has it ended up in the backlog? Curious about your thoughts! Was in my backlog for a while, but I just posted about it in Now Playing.

Metal Gear Solid (Playstation 1)

Finally got around to playing this in all its 240p glory! Tell you what, it would be quite nice if the person who shipped this had a manual to go with the game. Unfortunately, I'm stuck looking up the controls on the internet. And it takes a while to get used to. Heck, I had a hard time figuring out...

Crash Team Racing (Playstation 1)

Boy oh boy, I'm on a roll with these Mariokart alternatives. And you know what? I think that this beats Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. Both games are extremely fun, but I've always loved graphics from the PS1/N64. They have a certain charm to them with the pixelated graphics, and the shortcuts t...

Peculiar gaming habits

I just noticed this today, but why is it whenever I have all the time in the world to play, I'll get bored with my games? But when I have something to do or I have to get to bed or work, or the Bears are about to start, I'll have a blast playing and I won't want to stop. Anyone else ever get like th...

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing with Banjo-Kazooie (Xbox 360)

With no Bears game yesterday, I was searching for something to do. Actually, my wife and I went up to the pumpkin farm in Wisconsin, but when we got back, I noticed my 360 out of the corner of my eye. To tell you the truth, it's the system I play the least out of my collection, and it's been sitting...

Breakout (Atari 2600)

You know, when I hear the legend of Polybius and how it had people hypnotized and playing for hours on end, I tend to believe it when I play games like this! I always knew what Breakout was, but never really had the urge to play it. And so it's been sitting on my shelf to moving box, back to shelf, ...

Demon Attack (Atari 2600)

This is quite a well-programmed game. I like how the birds actually seem to try and avoid your shots, and it takes strategy to try and get past the later levels.

Add this to the list of games I can play when I only have ten minutes or so.

Re: Will you miss Game Stop

:!: More fallout from the GameStop financial issues... Back toward the top of this thread, I mentioned that one of my biggest concerns with GameStop failing would be the downfall of Game Informer magazine. It's one of the few print magazines you can still find for modern video games - and it's owne...

Re: Will you miss Game Stop

Ain't that the truth. Everyone is so afraid of theft, the honest person ends up getting punished for it. That's why a 5 o'clock shadow is in style, people hate waiting for an associate to open the case. I seriously hate thieves, they make life more difficult for honest, hard-working people. It woul...

Re: Will you miss Game Stop

Well at Target you gotta get somebody to open the case, and that guy is either helping somebody else or nowhere to be found. Is it any wonder people don't like buying physical media? They make it such a hassle! Oh yes. You really can't win! On my PS4 Pro, I always go digital because the hard drive ...
