Re: The Last of Us GOTY Edition

Wow, I beat this game today. I was hooked from start to finish. I have never felt more connected to two in game characters as I did with Joel and Ellie. I'm going to start playing the Left Behind DLC that came with the game. Absolutely, brilliant game. Yep. I remember staying up until noon the next...

Re: Favorite sitcoms

"Family Matters". Interesting that my mother in law lives by the Winslow house. My wife and I drove by it the other day, it's still there right off of Ashland and Wrightwood. There's this crazy expensive house next door on one side, but the Urkel house is still there on the other side. And...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

"Buddy Holly" by Weezer, and "That's All" by Genesis. Yes, my wife is going crazy with me whistling and singing them all day.

Yes. Makes me appreciate what we have now. MLB 15 The Show is about 64,000 times the size of NES Baseball.

Re: Video game retailers you used to visit and the memories you have of them

The worst memory of game buying was when my mom wanted to stop at a clothing store or something on the way out after she had bought me that NES game. I almost had the instruction manual memorized by the time I got home.

Re: New Icon Idea: Extensive Reading!

Haven't really played many of these games, but I'm assuming I can quit my whining about Kaepora Gaebora, the owl in Ocarina of Time.

I was expecting a topic about a guy on a bench gaming. Guess that shows life really is like a box of chocolates.

Re: Definitive Football Game

Even on here the games were rated similarly, with ESPN 2K5 getting an A on the PS2, while Madden 05 got an A- on the PS2. So it's easy to see how different opinions might rank Madden higher.

Re: Definitive Football Game

Regarding NFL 2k5 another thing that bugs me to this day is I was an avid EGM reader and they ranked Madden 05 higher than NFL2k5. Did EGM get fat revenues from EA? How could they possibly all rate Madden 05 higher? I couldn't find all the reviews but I did find one from EGM 1up that went a little ...

Re: Definitive Football Game

I think football is hard to find a definitive game for. I guess if I had to pick one, it'd be Tecmo Super Bowl.
