Re: Is E.T. on Atari 2600 really that bad?

There is a reason this game is infamous - its lack of success played a vital role in the US home console crash. Its lessabout whether the game is bad, and more about it being disappointing and what the impact of that was. That the game took less than 6 weeks is not an excuse. Atarti / Warner acted ...

Re: VGC: The Jungle King vs Jungle Hunt Mystery

Allow me to be the Shell Answer Man. Edgar Rice Burroughs created the Tarzan novels back in 1914. When Jungle King came out, those who owned the rights to Burriughs works threatened Taito with a lawsuit due to the Tarzan-like image (and I believe in the arcade there was also a Tarzan-like yell). Tai...

Re: Power-Up Feature Online

I just paid $10 for a yearly membership which includes this site ad-free for a year, 90% off all GameStop games, free back rubs from the wife, half off Starbucks cappuccinos, free subscription to Angie's List and Consumer Reports, and a virtual pat on the head from the VGC himself. Re: Power-Up Feature Online

I am sorry, I refuse to pay for not seeing ads , no matter how great the content on your site is. I'll keep using my Chrome Adblock Plus plug-in... Except you wouldn't be paying $10 a year (2 Starbucks Frappuccinos) to not see ads, you'd be paying to support this site. The VGC started the ads to he...

Re: Power-Up Membership Testing

Bluenote,

Just to follow up on what Rev and VGC said, I've been coming to this site since the early 2000's, and if the VGC says he's not going to tack on additional fees, I trust him. I can't say the same about an anonymous YouTube user if he or she makes the same claim.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Movies

Aguierre, the Wrath of God........... really? LOL, yeah for real. It's a bizarre movie, I'll give you that, but really intense and memorable. You either love it or hate it. Also, you should read what they had to go through to make the film. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aguirre,_the_Wrath_of_God

Re: The VGC's Funniest Reviews

I've brought this up many times before, but the 2 Swordquest reviews for the 2600 always stand out. Just really really sarcastic and funny. Awesome stuff.

Good reviews VGC, and the first sentence in the Protector review made me laugh out loud.
