I think it's all relative and/or a direct correlation to how much free time one has and the amount of disposable income one has. When I was a kid and poor, I loved long games. If I recall correctly the arcade game was 3 player. I don't know of any four player variations. There may have been a PS3 version but I'm not so sure it's still available for download. Great looking game but it is too hard to control. It's a shame Factor 5 had to shoehorn in six axis controls. They used to be one of my favorite developers. Even with the patch for controller only it's still a difficult game to play properly.
That sounds a lot like Time Killers. It wasn't particularly good but it was memorable in that two buttons matched the left and right arms. And you had two buttons one for each leg.
