Re: Crown Jewel of your collection?

CONSOLE: Magnavox Odyssey , boxed/complete, from the first run of consoles in 1972. I care a lot about the history of gaming hardware, so this is an important one to me. I've only hooked it up once, and there's nothing worth playing on it, but it's just a cool piece to have around and display. Just...

Re: God of War PS4

Finally got round to playing this, for a modern game this is surprisingly tough.

Re: PS2-Activision Anthology

Barnstorming I really like this, was surprised and the Critics lukewarm review. Trying to hit the requisite time goal for the unlocks is fun and challenging. You really have to be in the zone, not managed the first unlock, closest I’ve got is a second over. But I’m having great fun trying. I’ve also...

Glad you omitted the Game Gear version which was terrible.

Re: Toki (Switch)

Genesis Toki actually deviates from the original game. The original has shorter levels but feel better designed and less bloated as a result. I agree the Genesis version is a ‘c’ grade game. But the ST and Amiga ports are an ‘A’ they aren’t as tough as the arcade game and have better music. The Lynx...

Re: Toki (Switch)

I adore the original game and enjoy the ‘reimagined’ MegaDrive game. Shame this is Switch only hoping it does well enough to get a PS4 release.

Re: Best Game of this Generation (so far)

I got God of War for Xmas along with Sonic Mania Plus so will get to those soon (just on a Uncharted kick and finally got round to paying Drake’s Deception). Agree with DrLitch on Horizon Zero Dawn. Like MGSV once I got pulled into it's World I couldn’t put it down until I got 100%. It did take long...

Re: Best Game of this Generation (so far)

I’ve only played 4 of the above also, but without a doubt my vote would be Metal Gear Solid 5. It’s took all that’s gone before and honed it perfectly one of the best games I’ve ever played.

If I buy a sports game it’s only usually one per generation now, they don’t alter enough year by year.

Castlevania - Symphony of the Night (PSP/Vita)

Didn’t grab me initially but the more I played the more addicting it became. Really, really enjoyed and now understand why it gets all the praise.

Currently replaying with Richter.
