Re: Dog (Death) Star Adventure (BASIC)

Text adventures, a genre that can either engross or completely put you off them forever. Have you ever played Scott Adams Spider-Man text adventure game ? The game is so obtuse as to be unplayable how anyone beat that back in the day without some sort of guide amazes me. http://www.atarimania.com/ga...

Re: 2016/2/10: Jaguar: Tempest 2000

How did Iron Soldier compare to Metal Head on 32x ?
I do admit to being curious with the Jaguar especially as emulation is still not very good for it.
I like systems that have a limited roster of good games (like the 32x) as they are not as overwhelming as the Genesis or SNES.

The guy who did Questicle and is now working on Sega Does is looking to launch a NES compendium.

Might be worth considering for the Nintendo fans out there.

Re: question about gunstar heroes

I need to buy this game again. It truly is excellent if I remember correctly there are 4 worlds but it's a tough old game so you won't breeze through it.

I can't advise on the price as I'm from the UK and prices will be different here.

Re: What parts of Retro Gaming take up your time?

Another thought provoking topic Scotland. 1). I would still say actually playing them is my primary filler (just). 2). Reading and researching. When it's time to add a game to my collection I like to do my due diligence, especially if it's a pricey acquisition. Also whilst I'm playing a game I'll tr...

Re: Favorite Racing Games Of All Time Thread

I enjoy racing games despite not being into cars. Lotus 2 - Atari ST This was as close to Out Run as you could get at the time. Fast, smooth, good graphics with differing environments every stage felt different and a great intro tune. Sega Rally - Sega Saturn In my opinion the greatest racing game E...

Re: Games so bad you have to shut it off

I truly believed that if a game wasn't fun, I either didn't understand how to play it, or it just wasn't my kind of game. I never considered, young and naive as I was, that they would release bad games That resonates so much with me. Back in my Speccy and ST days I just couldn't comprehend video ga...

Brilliant! Enjoyed that review. I vaguely remember playing something similar at school on a BBC Micro computer.

Any good Sega games for PS3 ?

I think Sega's output as a third party developer is harshly criticised sometimes. A lot of their 6th gen output was good (OutRun 2006, Panzer Dragoon Orta). I've played Sega Rally Revo and really enjoyed it on PS3. I'm also really interested in Sonic Generations. Any other recommendations from Sega ...

Re: When did Street Fighter become so 'hardcore'

Interestingly, I learned on a non-SF stream the other day that fans of the Series that became fans after the release of SFIV are referred to as "09ers", and often belittled by older fans of the series. When nerdiness gets hostile, I'm out. Lol. Oh good grief! Another crowd to avoid along ...
