"So do theirs. Right?"

I can instantly (i.e. recall) imagine John Lithgow saying those lines. :ugeek: :(

Re: 2020/6/6: Sega CD: Hook, Lethal Enforcers II: Gunfighters

Sweet, more Sega CD reviews! I own Hook but haven't played it for more than 5 minutes -- I beat the SNES version ages ago and that was enough for me for a while. I should bust that one out and give it a runthrough to see what I think. These new Sega CD reviews continue my quest to update my light gu...

Re: 2020/6/4: NES: Double Dragon, Double Dragon II: The Revenge, Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones

Always glad to see praise for the first Double Dragon, which I think is a really fun game. But I have no idea why people think Double Dragon III is a hard game! I can breeze through almost the entire thing with little trouble, and the only part that's genuinely tough is the final boss fight. Frankly...

I checked out Stone Age just now, and it turns out to be a Pengo clone with incredibly irritating music and stiff gameplay. That said, the core mechanic was still kind of addictive.

Re: 2020/5/31: Atari 2600: Basketball, Final Approach, X Mission (Europe)

If you guys could point me to the ones most worthy of reviewing, that might save me a lot of time and effort. If you're looking for unique versions of games, the ROM Hunter collection (to which I sent you a link) uses a tilde character, ~, to mark the "original" version of a game. Sometim...

Awesome! Send word if you need any help sorting it all out -- the plethora of different versions, etc. can get a little overwhelming. Good news is, you're getting close to having all the official NTSC releases done -- fewer than 50 left . :) Meanwhile, some of those PAL exclusives were released in a...

Donald Duck's Speedboat sounds like a fun summer game.

Done! I've just sent them to your Gmail. And yes, Donald Duck's Speedboat is a nifty little game -- not necessarily one you'll play for hours and hours, but cute while it lasts.

Nice treat to see a review of X'Mission. I rather liked the gameplay, and it's one of those PAL exclusives that was memorable enough to stick with me, along with a few others like Donald Duck's Speedboat, Time Warp, Mr. Postman, and Parachute.

Re: Light Crusader

I love this game. The music is absolutely out of sight, and the isometric gameplay is quality stuff. It's not the most sophisticated RPG out there, especially in terms of combat, but it's such a pleasure to play that it doesn't matter. Light Crusader also gets bonus points as the only game I've ever...

Re: 2020/5/20: Atari 2600: Math Gran Prix, Panda Chase, Desert Falcon

Always pleased to see new Atari 2600 reviews! You're slowly chipping away at the remaining North American games, while the review of a PAL-originating game is a nice treat. Desert Falcon has always been unappealing to me, though I'd hoped it had some hidden merit, but it seems like Zaxxon meets Ridd...
