Fire Emblem, Wii U

I've wanted to try the Fire Emblem games for a while, but I didn't want to shell out for a 3DS of I wasn't even sure I'd like them. Just found out the Wii U virtual console has two of the GBA (Fire Emblem, aka Blazing Swords & Sacred Stones) games for download. Will update with first impressions...

The new ending is up. Same doc. It begins on page 189.

Page numbers don't show up on my link. Which chapter is it?

Chapter Twenty Seven, the second one.

Re: Beta Readers Needed!

I'm definitely not a professional editor, but I found the overall story to be entertaining. There are a few minor typos or words left out, but they didn't impede my reading or enjoyment of the story. Thanks! I'm actually working on an alternate ending that I think is better than the one I have now....

Beta Readers Needed!

I just got an email from an agent who says she might be interested in representing me and my latest book, which is the first step to getting professionally published. She's only asked for the first three chapters so far, but if those impress her she'll want to see the entire book. Nobody else has re...

Crey: New, Easy, FREE Game Making Program

So, I just found out about this. I've tried my hand at things like RPG Maker before, but even that (supposedly the EASY way to make a video game) was too technical for me. This actually looks really interesting. The interface is all, as far as I've seen, drag and drop. That might mean that your opti...

Re: The Problem with Soulslike Games.

I read that the new Star Wars game has some DS elements. Have you given it a try? I haven't tried it yet, but from what I've heard it's more akin to Sekiro than Dark Souls. Specifically, the parry-heavy combat is almost exactly the same, except it has multiple difficulty settings in case you're lik...

Re: The Problem with Soulslike Games.

I disagree. The Souls series is anything but narrow. It might not seem like it to new players, but the extent of the options it gives you is staggeringly huge. Even if Nioh and Code Vein had just been Dark Souls with fewer options, I probably would have liked them just fine. This is precisely what ...

Re: The Problem with Soulslike Games.

But here's the weird thing: I don't know if this is my fault or theirs. You're looking for something too narrowly specific for them to make in the first place. It's not even a matter of liking "Souls-likes made by From Software" because you hated Sekiro too. I disagree. The Souls series i...

Re: The Problem with Soulslike Games.

Games like Nioh, pretty as they are, lacked the atmosphere of the Souls games, so they felt more like pretenders than anything else. True. To quote Zero Punctuation's review, "Oh boy, I wonder where the next level will be set! Will it be a Japanese village, a forest, a cave, or a Japanese vill...
