Re: 2019/2/20: Playstation 4: Soul Calibur VI

Fabulous review. The last one I really liked was on the dreamcast. There they knocked it out of the park. All of the rest of them have been underwhelming. I am not into fighting games any more. They seem so 90s now and so dated. Your review reflects this. Why is this the case? Surely the original B...

Re: Album Sales Dying Fast

I love Greta Van Fleet and find them very original when compared to the other stuff out there. Black Smoke Rising is a killer song. GFV is okay, but very bland. Are you serious though? GFV is not original in the slightest. They are a pretty much exact copy of Led Zeppelin, who themselves ripped off...

Re: Crown Jewel of your collection?

I'm going to go in a different direction than my most valuable game and go with Super Mario 64 as my most cherished game I own. Sure, it's not valuable at all and can be found super cheap, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't my favorite game of all time. All my warm nostalgic memories and the vast ...

Re: What’s the definitive Tetris game?

I really loved Tetris Party. All the extra modes make it worth the price.

Re: Album Sales Dying Fast

My brother went to a nirvana concert in ‘93and I think it was like $25-30. Of course to see another acclaimed grunge band, Pearl Jam, it costs hundreds I presume. I’d say the nirvana concert was a better value Well, I do know that Pearl Jam had a long, bitter battle with Ticketmaster because they t...

Re: 2019/2/2: GameCube: Pro Rally 2002, Tube Slider

On a side note, is it just me or did the Wii almost eclipse the GameCube out of history? I feel like it's mentioned less often that any other mainstream console of recent memory... I would have to disagree. I've been seeing GameCube nostalgia everywhere over the past few years. Whether it's in Nint...

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate vs Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

Smash 4 Wii U is simply a good game in my favorite fighting series. Ultimate actually has a shot at dethroning Melee as my favorite Smash game once I get around to playing it more. It's no contest for me.

Re: Hollow Knight - Can we convince VGC to download a game?

The no-downloads rule is pretty much nonsense in the context of the Critic's overall ideals. The biggest developers crank out endless, soulless franchise installments and make exclusive licensing deals that allow them to be as lazy as they want without worrying about competition, all the while sque...

Re: Best Game of this Generation (so far)

Super Mario Odyssey was everything I wanted out of a 3D Mario. Galaxy 1 and 2 and 3D Land/World are great, but I really missed the large, open ended approach to level design that 64 and Sunshine offered. Odyssey delivered in spades. I also love the capture mechanic, as it constantly gave you somethi...
