Re: Sony Playstation Classic, $99 US, 12/3

One trend I find alarming is how these "classic" consoles are becoming more and more expensive. I'm wondering how long it will be before we get a full-featured model packed with games for the same price as a modern console? I also really dislike how they are 1) almost certainly emulator, ...

Re: NES Classic Edition Review

I enjoyed the review as well, and look forward to your SNES Mini review. Interestingly, its pretty easy to find these second gen NES mini's in stores now. Last week when I was at Walmart, they must have had at least 10 of each NES & SNES systems in stock.

Re: VGC Anti Atari??

Hmm...so just as an example, I took a peek at your Wii U reviews. About 75 percent of them are C- and above. So are you planing on going back and docking the grades of everything above it to establish an equilibrium of grades? That's not an ideal example since he hasn't reviewed the complete Wii U ...

Re: Atari Loot Box at Target

I guess for an die hard fan, this might be okay. Expensive for what you are getting though, but I think these publishers know that it has some kind of intrinsic "collectible" value, so they run you over the coals on price for what is basically junk (IMHO). I will watch for it to go on clea...

Re: Complex and hard to learn... good?

I do not have much time to play video games with the many responsibilities in my life (children, wife, job, bills, other hobbies, etc), so when I do sit down to play, I do not want to have to rack my brain on how to even get the damned thing started. I just want to play the game. Enjoy the hour I ha...

Re: New 3DS XL vs... well, older DS systems

I did buy the 2ds xl last summer. I like the look of the system a lot, and I love playing on a bigger screen. There are things a new 3ds can do that are upgrades. It has super stable 3d, meaning it won't get blurry if you move your head to much. I've personally never tried this, but I have experien...

Re: Alex Kidd in Miracle World (Sega Master System)

I was about 15 years old when I played the Alex Kidd in Miracle World. I made it about half way through the game before saying enough. I didn't own an NES at the time, so I guess I was trying to convince myself that Alex Kidd would triumph over Super Mario Bros. With the SMS, I usually played games ...

New 3DS XL vs... well, older DS systems

Recently, Amazon had a Warehouse deal (an extra 20% off certain items). I went ahead and bought two "Very Good" New 3DS XL SNES edition systems (came up to $104 each, also come with a download of the original Super Mario Kart), so I can replace my kids' aging 2DS (original), and the origin...

Re: Computer Games 1998-2000

\ ...The same happened when the Xbox360 released and PC owners knew their grand contemporary hardware was matched or exceeded by the console. The only generation where a new console released and was a notable step down in terms of hardware is this generation. I am not so sure about this. I remember...
