Re: Microsoft naming fails

Question: is the Super Nintendo a good name? I’ve always felt like it was a natural progression, but looking back, it’s not very creative. Still, I can imagine my beloved console being called anything else. :) I wonder if “Super Wii” would have done better than “Wii U”? I get that it wasn’t really a...

Re: The Problem with Soulslike Games.

I read that the new Star Wars game has some DS elements. Have you given it a try?

Re: The Mandalorian

Finished episode 5, which felt pointless aside from the last few seconds. Acting felt weak and script felt childish.

Still enjoy the series though.

Re: Games with sections that almost ruin it

Add Hollow Knight to this list. On my second playthrough. Love the game but... That Mantis Lords battle is starting to wear thin. My save/respawn point is over 10 minutes of grind away. I am too far away to have a fair shot at learning the patterns to beat this. Also I have 7000 geo, I am damned if...

Re: Games with sections that almost ruin it

How does invaders in DS work? Are they other players online? If that’s so, it seems like it would make an already super hard game impossible—fighting brutal enemies with a human enemy thrown in on top of it. What’s the benefit?

Re: What Games Are We Thankful For?

Super Metroid. I had Video Games prior to this but this is the first game I was totally absorbed within. Starcraft. In 1999, I was away from home for first time in life / Freshman at University, this got me through my homesickedness. Xcom UFO Defense [or titled UFO Enemy Unknown]. 1994 DOS game, wa...

Games with sections that almost ruin it

I was tempted to replay Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) the other day and was pumped for the challenge until I remembered those dang barrel riding sections. Ugh! Man, I hate those. Even the cart riding sections, as tough as they are, are still fun, and the game as a whole is known for its platform...

Re: The Mandalorian

Why is nobody prepared to admit that Star Wars sucks? Bad acting, even worse scripts... Anakin Skywalker masterfully acted by Hayden Christensen. Mark Hammil cannot act his way out of a paper bag, he is only barely, by the skin of his teeth, a superior actor to Emilia Clarke of Daenery's fame. Seen...
