Re: 2019/4/1: Xbox One: Sid Meier's Civilization: Flat Earth Edition

As a long-time reader who is an ACTUAL flat-Earther (yup, I'm nuts) Definitely not nuts, I have a friend who believes the world is flat and he works as an Engineer for Boeing. Smart guy and completely sane. I hate to break this to you, but he probably isn’t as smart as you think... Funny review, bu...

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4/XONE)

The only other Rockstar games I’ve enjoyed prior to this one were LA Noire and GTA Chinatown Wars. This one is also pretty good. It still has the slow, input laggy controls that I hate about pretty much every other one of their games, but it’s mitigated somewhat by turning the deadzone slider to 0 a...

Re: Red Dead Redemption II install process from hell

Took me about an hour on Xbox One X. I was surprised to see it have two discs. The game is massive though so I guess it makes sense.

Technology Addiction

https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/10/tech/apple-google-facebook-tech-screen-addiction/index.html I read this a few weeks ago and it hit home with me because I’ve been very cognizant of my own habits lately. The internet wasn’t a thing for me until I was a teenager, and even though I grew up without smart ...

Re: Do you enjoy watching others play?

I feel like this forum skews towards the older, 30 plus side, so most people here probably don’t understand it. I don’t generally watch other people myself, unless I’m looking for a hint on what to do, but I liken it to sports, or watching poker, or any other game on TV. It’s really not any less stu...

Re: Easy SRPGs?

It’s not traditional, but Valkyria Chronicles on PS3 or the remastered version on PS4 is an incredible game. I have a hard time gettinto into SRPGs, but I fell in live with that one. After you select your units, you enter third person mode and move your character around instead of everything taking ...

Re: Dragon Quest XI

Quick update - I’m about 45 hours in now. I’ve really been taking my time since I’d like to get the platinum trophy for the game, so I might be halfway through maybe? There was a plot twist and now I have a new character to play with, so that was pretty cool. I really love the characters in the game...

Re: Switch storage is a total mess

I hear ya, but what other form of media could they use for the Swith’s form factor? Their options were limited to download only, which would’ve required them to put in way more flash memory, or maybe mini discs? I’m not even sure they would’ve had enough room in there for anything other than a cartr...

Re: The Autumn of 2003

The fall of 2003 I was 18 starting my freshman year at the U of MN. There was a period of about three years where I wasn’t gaming too much that started during college, except for multiplayer games we played in the dorms. I remember playing some Halo 2, WWE Raw vs Smackdown I think, and Madden. Coinc...
