Re: Gameboy Advanced screens are really dark?

I see; so the original Advance console is known to be terrible, as is, I assume the GB and GB colour. So to recap, the best variant to play GB, GB Colour and Advance games on is the Gameboy Advance SP; no wonder that model costs soo much. I assume that DS games are best played on any 3DS model then?...

Gameboy Advanced screens are really dark?

I know that the Gameboy Advanced lacks a back light of any sort, but is the screen of it really that dark that you practically need a light behind your shoulder, or is it a sign of a dying handheld?

Handheld screens; above or between?

Having recently come into possession of both a 3DS and Vita (I'm not normally into handhelds, but figured I'd give it a notable go), it sort of got me wondering whether people prefer their handhelds to have the screen above the controls, such as the Gameboy, 3DS etc or between the controls like the ...

Re: Way Of The Warrior on 3DO

If you haven't already brought the game, Way of the Warrior may well be one of the few (only?) 3DO games to feature region locking.

I have an NTSC 3DO console and a PAL copy of Way of the Warrior. On start up the game tells me that I don't have a PAL console and won't let me play it as a result.

Re: Lemmings

Lemmings is definitely a game that is best with a mouse in my opinion. I can imagine that the SNES and Mega Drive versions play pretty similarly; it simply comes down to which controller you prefer. Both versions include near all the original games content. The SNES version apparently adds a few new...

Re: Earth Defense Force 2017 (360)

EDF 2025 was a bit po-faced compared to EDF 2017. In the process 2025 lost some of the fun.

Like JustLikeHeaven, the series is an EDF! EDF! from me.

Re: Criticize Your Favorite Video Game!

Toshinden Subaru/4: the shortcut keys for the over drive attacks can't be disabled. They throw character balance and remove some of the games depth (i.e you can enter a complex button combination or just use the shortcut).

Re: What reviews do you get excited about?

I enjoy all the reviews, but I stand by something I believe that I have stated or implied in the past; that the critic sometimes has difficulty separating his 'views of 'modern consoles' from his 'reviews of 'modern games'. Of course, don't think I am criticizing the critic for publically stating hi...

What surprises me is that launch copies containing the Wii game are still available, unless other places continued to include the Wii game beyond the launch copies?

Re: A Guide to Making Used Games Look & Play New

I consider CD cleaners and buffers to be bad myself. They don't make a disc like new, they damage them.
