Re: 2019/11/9: Genesis: Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey and Minnie, The, Mighty Max

Pretty spot-on about Mighty Max. I've beaten both the Genesis and SNES versions, but the game is just a chore to play, and the overall design is stupid -- the Space level is the hardest one in the entire game, yet they put it at the beginning! Since you have unlimited continues and respawn exactly ...

Re: 2019/11/9: Genesis: Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey and Minnie, The, Mighty Max

These two Genesis games are not very good, but hope you enjoy the reviews. Interesting reviews here, for The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey and Minnie, it actually a sequel to the SNES and later GBA The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse which itself is actually a very good game that I recom...

Re: 49% of U.S. Gamers Spent Money on Microtransactions in September 2019, In-Game Spending Down.

I never got into the concept I pay for a piece of code that gives me an item in the game. The thing that boggles my mind further is paying for virtual clothes in games like SF V or MK. I think to get Sub Zero (or was it Kitana?) original outfit you had to buy game on mobile phone, then do this, the...

49% of U.S. Gamers Spent Money on Microtransactions in September 2019, In-Game Spending Down.

https://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2019/11/08/microtransaction-spending-in-september/ This is a interesting article on everyone's favorite thing to hate on in modern games Microtransactions (Joy!). This is something me and the critic and the like will love to read and hate on as Microtransactions ...

Re: 2019/10/29: Nintendo Switch: Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Finally sat down and played Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for about an hour and a half last night. I didn't get very far (I probably spent a good half-hour looking for a double-jump ability that shows up later on after I couldn't reach some out-of-the-way places on the ship) but it's everything...

Re: Looks like the Switch port of Samurai Shodown is going to be a fantastic port.

Because Samurai Showdown usually features just two pretty undemanding characters at a time? And there's a close-up camera that keeps the background geometry reasonable? Pretty sure Bloodstained would run great too, if the developers who got hired for the Switch port only had to deal with that much....

For day 3 Twisted Tales of Spike McFang Batland Castle for SNES: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyGfFhh5LDg reminds me of a 90s style Anime music.

Re: Looks like the Switch port of Samurai Shodown is going to be a fantastic port.

Update: 60FPS Samurai Shodown 2019 Switch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmE0zH8X_1A it baffles me how come this is 60FPS but not SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy (in house engine) and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (UE4 same as Samurai Shodown 2019 FYI) on the same system is beyond me!
