Re: Physical Release Thread

Yeah, Axiom Verge is basically NES Metroid. And since Nintendo's concept of releasing a Metroid game is Federation, this is probably the closest we'll get of the traditional 2d Metroid action. I played the game last year on Vita (digital only, obviously) and it's really excellent. I love 2d Metroidv...

Re: "Mostly Gone" Genres

Scotland mentioned rail shooters/light gun games and he's very right. There are a couple on PSVR-- my friend has one and playing the Until Dawn spinoff is actually pretty amazing-- but other than that, there's not much. I actually bought a move & nav controller for PS3 *last year* (well after th...

Re: Tekken 7

I'm planning on getting it for PS4 after a major price drop. I'm not interested at all in the series, but review scores have been way too high to ignore. Sounds like a good time!

Re: RIP 3DS/PS Vita 2011-2017

I've never heard of this indie game, either. I'm sorry but basing the imminent deaths of the 3DS and Vita on one kickstarter game is kind of silly. I still regularly buy games for the Vita. Believe it or not, tons of games are still coming out and plenty will continue to come out through 2018. Yes, ...

Re: Physical Release Thread

The Playasia version of Wonderboy: Dragon's Trap has already been mentioned. I assume it's going tobeanpther Chinese/English or multi-language release like some of the others sold on Playasia. In the West, they've just announced the game will be published by Limited Run for a physical release. I'm n...

Re: 2017/4/1: Virtual Boy: Strip Poker II

I just checked eBay. Unfortunately, since the Critic's glowing review, Strip Poker II prices have SKYROCKETED! It's now over $250 complete in box. I highly suggest our Virtual Boy collectors jump on this game before the situation gets worse!

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn

I'm really excited to play Horizon, but I'm not going to until I finish Persona 5. That's gonna be a minute. :) Right now I'm playing Drakengard 3 (PS3) and I'm almost done. Just wanted another game in the series after playing the masterpiece NieR: Automata (PS4). Also slowly working my way through ...

Re: Nier: Automata (PS4)

I just finished NieR: Automata and it is my favorite game of the 8th generation. In fact, it's simply one of my favorite games of all time. From its visual style, to its graphics, to its characters and world, NieR Automata is an absolute masterpiece. This is Platinum's best combat. This is Yoko Taro...

Re: PS Vita - need game recommendations

Gravity Rush Hot Shots Golf Wipeout 2048 Killzone Mercenaries Unit 13 If you like Japanese RPGs (like Child of Light), this will become a very long conversation. But Persona 4 Golden is taking the red pill. Then an entire niche world opens up... Let me know if you want recommendations in this area o...

Re: Console Wars on YouTube

I've been watching these guys for a couple years now. They are pretty funny, the show is well edited with good production values and the games they cover are usually great. It's one of the YouTube video game shows I look forward to.
