Re: Alice in Chains

Jar of Flies is my favorite too. It's pretty short, but everything on it is great. Sap is another really good one that has an acoustic vibe similar to Jar of Flies. It's a toss-up between Dirt and Jar of Flies for my favorite, but I think I agree with you - Dirt is amazing but it's also quite unrele...

Re: Castle of Illusion remake review

You'd of actually been able to redownload it just fine. The game has been delisted for sale, not delisted for redownloading by existing owners. Only some freebies and for a while, some Hamster published PS1 downloads before a rights issue was resolved, have ever disappeared from people's purchase h...

Re: Castle of Illusion remake review

I thought the PSN sale was supposed to last until today, but now the game is back at full price. Guess I won't be getting it now. Oh well. What a bizarre move to restore it to full price during its last hours of availability. It makes me wonder if the people on Neogaf where I learned about this are...

Re: Things you found out years later about your favorite games?

Up until a few years ago, I never realized in Super Mario Bros. 3, you could determine which way a mushroom would go by which half of the block you hit (For those who might not know, if you hit the left half of a block, the mushroom would go right and vice versa). I used to just think the movement o...

Want a good wireless controller option for the NES and SNES?

Actually, you probably already have a wireless controller that you can use for the NES or SNES, you just need one of these 8bitdo retro receivers to make it work with the system: NES: http://www.8bitdo.com/retro-receiver-nes/ SNES: http://www.8bitdo.com/retro-receiver-snes/ These will let you use a ...

Re: PS 2/1 Joystick Suggestions.

I'm in the same boat as Matmico, as I would really like a good PS2 stick but am having a hard time finding one that would satisfy my needs (that's what she said). I actually tried to build my own using a PCB from a digital PS1 gamepad, but unfortunately, thanks to my lackluster soldering skills, I e...

Re: Virtual Boy Emulation

I think it's nuts that Nintendo hasn't done anything about remaking Virtual Boy games for 3DS. It would be the perfect opportunity to finally do justice to the system's better titles. Imagine a colorized 3DS version of Virtual Boy Wario Land. Oh well, I can dream. I was actually thinking this the o...

Re: 2600 Joysticks

One of my favorite things to collect for the Atari 2600 are the joysticks. In fact I've gotten to the point where I own pretty much every one that I want so now I've moved on to making my own (which is surprisingly simply, by the way). The Slik Stik and other similar Suncom sticks (TAC-2, Starfighte...

Re: 2016/5/8: Atari 2600: Space Cavern, Titan Axe, Zippy the Porcupine

I would like to see a review of Princess Rescue also, but I don't believe the cart is sold anymore in the Atari Age store; the ROM should be available though. The VGC's feelings about Zippy are similar to how I feel about Princess rescue, though from the Zippy review, it does sound like Princess Res...
