What happened to the 10 essential Atari 2600 games thread?

Just curious. Was it deleted due to "been there, done that already"? I know it has been done before and can be revisited by simply doing a search in the archives on this site. I actually put several minutes of effort in my response as I haven't touched my 2600 in over a year. I plan on getting it out this summer for some gaming.
My point being - I enjoy reading those type of threads (newly created) as opinions do change. Folks new to this site can add their two cents. The main reason is because there may be good games that I have overlooked and find other peoples' opinions useful for this.

1. Spider-man
2. Haunted House
3. Adventure
4. Pit Fall
5. Ms. Pacman
6. Asteroids
7. Space Invaders
8. Q-Bert
9. Popeye
10. Combat
11. (Honorable Mention) E.T. - because its so darn infamous you have to have it.

A little bit of winging it here.......
1. Astroblast Best shooter ever for the 2600 (with paddles of course)
2. Berzerk
3. Bowling Simple and challenging all at the same time
4. H.E.R.O. My favorite 2600 game ever
5. Frostbite
6. Missile Command
7. Solar Fox
8. Video Chess Plays a great game for a chess amateur...
9. Dodge 'Em
10. Jr. Pac Man
I am missing one game (as I originally had 9 and 10 as a tie - you need a maze game). I guess I would still like a reason as to why the original thread was killed. Moderators?

Yeah, no clue. My guess is it was either an accident or the forum software itself got a little wonky.
There was nothing in it that would garner a deletion.
I tried searching for it but didn't have luck finding it either. I was enjoying reading the posts.

That was my mistake, I wasn't paying attention that great and deleted it....and then got embarassed. Lol.
I appreciate this though. I'm thinking of getting into some 2600 games and would like to know which games to start with.
