I'm not sure if this will make anyone more optimistic, but according to this Nintendo Life article, one of the guys who worked on Paprium is claiming that the game is now back on track:

Thanks for this update! I guess there's still some hope! The game doesn't even have to be that good - I just want to feel like I didn't blow $70 for nothing.
