It an interesting behind the scenes video and mind you one of the creative forces Emiko Yamamoto was later head hunted by Disney Japan and was credited for many of the Japanese made Disney games. It amazing how many Japanese games made back then where based on popular western ips even though Japan made loads of games based on their work like Manga or Anime or Tokusatsu brands back then as well. But my guess is because most Japanese pop culture was niech back then they had to make games based on popular western ips or original ips that where more western centric like the Streets of Rage which might have been a co-doing of Tom Kalinske the former Sega of America ceo as the Genesis was more popular in the west then Japan.
