I set my Coin-Ops emulation Xbox to 'Random' the other day and it selected the old arcade game "Super-X". I had never heard of or seen this game before, but as per my standard operating procedure I racked up 3 credits and hit 'start'. It was a surprisingly fun throwback SHUMP bullet-hell, a delightful glimpse to the golden age of arcades of yore. I didn't get very far, you need 200k to save your initials and in none of my three attempts did I hit that mark (I didn't use any Continues, just started over each of the three times), but I think in at least one of my runs I topped 100k. In any case, I will almost certainly circle back and give this game another go to try to better learn how the power-ups work and level details. If anyone has it available to them in their emulation library or retro collect, I recommend giving Super-X a shot!
