In my experience the Colecovision is probably the most unreliable system I've ever owned. I've owned several and even after fixing them they've never been quite right.
I don't think the Colecovision was manufactured with high quality parts. I even feels cheap. I love the games though.
If we ever needed a modern replacement for a system, it's for this one.
