bluenote,
I'm impressed! You pimped out your Atari 2600! Well played.
By the way, did you mean "heavy sixer"? I've never heard of a "light sixer".

Lol read all the posts on the prior page..

Very common misconception that every 6-switch Atari is a heavy sixer. The reality is most are light sixers.

Personally, I've always liked the look of the Heavy Sixer model of the 2600. But I also really liked this version of the 2600 jr. that they released very near the end of it's run in the 80's. Now mine dosen't look as pristine as the pic I attached to this post, but I've had this version of the 2600 Jr. for close to 34 years now. And it still works like a dream

I remember buying a new Atari 2600 Jr. in the late 90's. Pretty cheap at the time. Then I saw an article how to upgrade its output to composite or something like that. It didn't work as advertised; the new image was dark and a little distorted. So I basically destroyed a perfectly good Atari Jr. that day. Sad face.

I do have another though, and I can attest it's a cool little console. I keep it in my "out back" box for when my friends want to kick back and play on the back deck. Hopefully this virus will clear up before summer so we can do that again.
