Didn't they make a 5200 adaptor for the 7800 to run 5200 carts? If so, has anyone tried 5200 with 7800 controllers?

I've been playing a lot of SNES lately. But usually for me it's the NES then Sega Genesis.

Good question! I have been able to scrape together a set-up using minimal space, a $10 CRT find (which is haunted), and a dangerously high number of daisy chained switcher boxes to keep several consoles in "playing position"...but I spend most of my limited gaming time right now on the N64, the 32X and the 3D0. The 2600, though, is the console I would keep if I was only allowed one by law.

Not quite. Someone was making a homebrew adaptor at some point but looks to have only made a handful and then ran off with everyone else money or something. Shady stuff that went down in 2017 or so.
Interestingly the adaptor was to run 7800 games on your 5200, not the other way around..from the looks of it they took the official VCS adaptor for the 5200 and just upgraded the internals.

Alas, still the Atari 2600. Part of it is the ever more impressive homebrews, reviving what it was like when a lone coder had to wring everything possible out of 4K and the ways they did it. But these days I just don't have time for long or multigame sessions on titles that take long times to complete, much as I loved them back then.

Interesting, thanks for the info!

The Genesis is my goto console. Closely behind that is the NES. They're both great when you only have a short time to play some games. I also have a PS2 and Wii setup when the mood strikes.
