How do you guys feel about the Fatal Frame series? Specifically, games 1-3. I want to like them. Like, I really, really want to like them. But every time I play the first game, I get frustrated and quit. I don't feel like it has aged well. The camera combat is a unique idea, but the ghosts blend in too well with the background, meaning it's hard to see them until they're zooming toward you to take a chunk off your health bar. Some people might say that's scary, I find it annoying.
But what about you? Is there something to this that you enjoy that I don't see? Do the games get better after the first one?
