Crazy Taxi (Dreamcast)

Postby Alucard1191 » August 28th, 2022, 12:27 am

Alright, picked this classic up a little bit ago, and I have to say, it is mostly as fun as I remember it. The action is pick up and play greatness. Just get the person to their destination as fast and flashy as possible, make as much money as possible!

I will agree with the Critic's A- rating here.

The only issue I have with this game? There isn't enough music. Only 7 tracks, 4 by bad religion and 3 by offspring. This is just not enough. Playing for a short 15-20 minute session (which after some practice is only like...2 runs) you've heard every song at least once, probably more than that. That gets annoying and makes me not want to play longer than like... 20-30 minutes. If this had even more songs just by these artists this game would be an A+ for me. I enjoy the simple gameplay that much! It just needs more music.

Definitely a fun game to play. Never played the Dreamcast version, but I did play it at CiCi's one time, and I think I still have the PS2 version.

Definitely a fun game! I have Crazy Taxi 3: High Rollers for the xbox. It has casino levels and minigames.

Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that there was a version of this game on game boy advance! actually plays pretty well.

We used to take turns trying to beat our high scores in college. What a great game!

I can't begin to tell you how many times I've taken a wrong turn over the years, or gotten completely turned around, only to immediately hear, "Hey, hey heyyyyy! You're going the wrong way," zipping through my head.

Truly, Crazy Taxi is a game that has left an impression on nearly everyone who's ever played it.

This is the truth. Those bright arcade graphics are so inviting! Great summer game now that I think of it.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!"
Great game in short bursts or with friends, not something I can play for more than a half-hour by myself. Maybe a deeper selection of music would make a difference. Love the announcer, though.
