One good Saturn game.

Wow, second Saturn topic in a row. Anyways, I was thinking of getting a Saturn and Dreamcast game for my birthday. I know what I'm getting for Dreamcast, but what about Saturn. it needs to be affordable, too. Here's what I own so far:

Daytona USA
Virtua Fighter 1, 2, and Remix
Last Bronx
Virtua Cop 1 + 2
Sega Rally
House Of The Dead
Virtua Racing
Fighting Vipers
Fighters Megamix
Toshinden Remix
Panzer Dragoon
Manx TT
Sonic Jam
Nights Into Dreams
Baku Baku
Clockwork Knight
Astal
Dead Or Alive
Decathlete
Puzzle + Action: Sando-R

So, any suggestions of a good and affordable game I should get. Also, don't suggest Virtual On and Die Hard Arcade. I'll be getting those for christmas. Thanks

3 Words: Panzer Dragoon Saga!
2 More Words: Dragon Force!
4 More Words: Street Fighter Alpha II!
There are a lot of awesome Saturn games, it's just that it is severely overlooked and barely anyone has one! Well, it has 9,000,00 owners, but compared to other consoles, it is a flop, but anyone who played a Saturn will tell you it's an awesome and unigue experience! Not as good as the Genesis, but still awesome!

Don't forget people he said affordable.  That immediately rules out the $200 Panzer Dragoon Saga for example, and Japanese schmups.

I would recommend Guardian Heroes.  It's not too expensive and is one of the finest 2D side-scrollers going.  With multiple branching paths, an incredibly mature storyline of which you get very different impressions off depending on the route you take, clever multiplane system allowing Street Fighter style combos and special moves and a huge variety of enemies and graphics.  It truly is an epic experience.

I love the Sega Saturn.  I would easily recommend the following games.

Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge - Great 2D fighting game from Capcom.  Easily one of my favorites on the system.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 - Another high class 2D fighter.  It's nearly arcade perfect and the Sega Saturn's 6 button controller works like a dream for Midway's bloody brawler.

Mr. Bones - A quirky game that shouldn't be overlooked by Saturn owners.  Do yourself a big favor and track down this hidden gem.

The Horde - A fantastic hybrid of medieval town simulator and hack n slash gameplay.  Its like a morbidly twisted and scaled down version of ActRaiser.

Earthworm Jim 2 - The absolute best version of the classic.  Easily one of the most original franchises to be spawned in the 90s...the Saturn version stands head and shoulders above its 16 bit siblings.

Legend of Oasis - A fantastic sequel to the genesis game, Beyond Oasis.  If you dig Zelda style games this is totally worth the money.

In the Hunt - This is like an underwater version of Metal Slug.  Replace soldiers with submarines and you've got In the Hunt.  Go Buy it now.

Imports

Dungeon's and Dragons Collection - This side scrolling hack n slash import is worth every penny.  I was able to land a complete copy for $60.  It's not cheap, but you are getting 2 games for that price.

Gunbird - The spectacular sequel appeared on the Dreamcast but this original verticle shooter has always been a favorite of mine.  You can probably score a complete copy for around $25.

Elevator Action Returns - The sequel to the arcade classic.  This game is pure shooting bliss.  The tiny sprites are highly detailed and the action is nice and violent.  A fairly unknown game that has kept me very happy.  It will set you back around $40-$50.

Thanks. So far, from your suggestions, I'm interested in Shinobi and Shining Wisdom, and maybe Legend Of Oasis. I need to look up more info on that one. But anyway, keep 'em coming, I'd love to hear more!!!

Hey! Some japanese shoot-em-ups are actually pretty cheap.
I've only got Donpachi and Layer Section, but they cost me less than a tenner each!

Guardian Heroes is pretty expensive (in PAL land at least) unless you go for the Japanese version.
